Looks like I need to have my rear brake/rotors replaced. Anyone have any recommendations on which to buy? 2013 A6 Prestige.

Hilarious that the stealership is trying to charge be $925 for parts plus labor.

I recently did mine and got drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads from brakeperformance.com. $400 for all four corners. Pleased so far with about 2K miles on the setup.

Akebono Euro Premium ceramic pads with whatever rotors - either stock or I've run the Centric high carbon from Tire Rack. Eliminated brake dust and i've run this setup on both A6 and A7 with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks for the suggestions - looks like ceramic pads is the way to go. Do the rotors even matter? Just thinking of getting basic no frills. Don't track the car it's just a daily.

High carbon rotors last longer. I used Adam's rotors for my brake job. They are high carbon and I was able to choose the pattern of the slots.

Is there an easy way to tell if you have the 345mm or the 356mm rotors?

3.0T is 356mm.

I have always had better luck with brembo or Zimmerman rotors. The centrics are a value option and start to rust quickly, accept pad deposits, and only last one set of pads. The ones I had were on wife's Mini Cooper, but I would rather the known companies

I second Akebono pads, and I have always had great luck with Zimmerman rotors. Autohauzaz seems to always have the best deals on them.
