View Full Version : Aftermarket Wheel Options for those with Ceramic Brakes
As the title says, for those of you with ceramic brake shod cars, if you have gone for aftermarket wheels what options are there and what do you have?
Ideally looking for a 21" wheel again for my RS7 at 9-10.5" wide and was about to pull the trigger on a set of VFS1's but Vossen advise the 10.5x21 don't fit over the ceramic brakes. Their advice, go custom forged. As much as I like that idea my bank balance does not at UDSD$2k per wheel plus shipping!
Ideally looking for a 1 piece forged design, any suggestions?

P_G. Check out BC Forged as they also do 1 piece and are really good price. Mine are 2 piece. PM if you want the contact details for the UK dealer.

If you could that would be ideal as I don't appear to have it in my Inbox anymore. [emoji106]

I have RS6 carbon ceramic brakes on my 2013 S6. 2nd set of Rotiform 21x10.5 wheels with no clearance issues. FWIW I'm running a 3 piece setup with step lips, so technically the inside diameter is equivalent to a 20" wheel. Its a tight fit, but they fit. 20" stock audi wheels also have enough clearance. pics on my instagram hortikris

Thanks for the info. I've looked at TSW Bathhurst a few times but I'm just not loving the spoke design TBH. Definitely in for the concave 10 spoke design and bevelled centre hub rather than recessed which is why I really wanted VFS1's . If 20's do fit then Inspiri FFR1's may be an option.
But then a bit of me just says get some Performance reps at 21x9.5J and save the money as technically they are supposed to be my winters.
Who knew it was so hard to get decent 1 piece 21x10.5 8-10 spoke rims?

HRE Flowforms. I have these on my RS7 with ceramic brakes. They fit great and look great. The Flowform line is not as expensive as a lot of the HRE wheels.

They still look great, what is the offset (ET) if you don't mind me asking? I'm guessing 20x10.5 ET35?

I don't know the exact offset but it is the FF15 model in the FlowForm line. I was told that if I got 20x9.5 I would need a spacer to clear the ceramic brakes but the 20x10.5 fits great. I didnt look at 21s because I was fitting these for 20 inch snow tires.
