I've been looking at stepping up to the RS7 for a little while now and found this one near by me. Not sure the significance of the Prism Silver Crystal as I've not seen it in person but salesman seems to think it really sets the car apart? Car is certified and the price is really right compared to what else I've seen out there- miles are a little high for for a '16 but I don't drive my S4 much so that'll come down relative to it's MY if I make the plunge. Just wanted some input from those who know the model better than I do how this one looks.

Thanks

Good looking car! I would change those wheels out ASAP.

Regarding mileage, it's less than 20k, I wouldn't worry. Especially considering you won't be adding to that too quickly. Regarding price, I have no idea what is good or not for those cars but based on what a new prestige RS7 costs, it seems reasonable given CPO.

i think it is great deal, pull the trigger. Bought my 14 s7 cpo with about the same miles in the 70's.

Wouldn't worry about the miles, I bought an 18 month old car with 31k miles on and they are just getting broken in at that time. With RS's the more they are used i.e. as a daily driver the more they seem to be problem free

My theory with my rs4 was that the motor was meant for performance so driving moderate to hard once it got to temp helped clean out the gunk ...when I had my 50k maintenance they scoped my motor and it was cleaner then expected

I have bought all of my Audi's used including my RS7. I looked for the better part of a year before purchasing mine. One thing that I have always done is to bring my laptop and Vag-Com with me when I test drive. One thing i like is being able to see how many times the car has been launched which does give you an indication of how it's been driven. Being that this is CPO I am sure you are getting a decent deal. Most of them are going for about $5k more from what I have seen.

At the end of the day, I would jump on it. I never regret going from the S7 to the RS7. One amazing car.......

Correction: I'm getting the purchase process all started, has anyone ever had a third party inspector check a car over for you- just to verify the cosmetics and that it indeed appears the car has been in no accidents? Since the car has both Audicare that conveys and the 6year/100k CPO warranty I'm not too concerned about mechanicals but I just worry the car has had something that maybe wasn't reported via carfax/insurance. Thanks!

My local dealer has this one, 10k less mileage and more options at 3k more.

That does look very nice as well- but it doesn't look like it's certified which is strange.
Thanks for the comparison, it may come in handy

I had a fellow AZ member take a close look at the B8 S4 I purchased, rather than flying down to see it myself. Car was perfect - worked out well.

Then again, when I bought my S6, I flew out to inspect myself before signing the paperwork and driving it back...

thanks guys- I couldn't find a third party in time so I'm just going to roll the dice and head down there- dealer says CPO is pretty rigorous so the car is really right and being only 11 months old I can't imagine much being wrong. I think I'll be picking it up tomorrow or Thursday.

Ask them to make sure it's not TD1, get it In writing. Mine was CPO when I got it in 2013, went to my local dealer a few times and the 3rd time they claim I'm tuned. Fought AoA forever and they finally gave me steps to get the TD1 removed, such a PITA.

Good call- I'd think CPO certification would find that but I'm sure those corners have been cut before. Thanks

Yeah, that was cool of the guy to do... 'Course, I did send him a few bucks for his efforts, but it was well worth the investment. [up]

I went and saw this car. Excellent shape but they had to repaint the hood due to a rock chip that pierced the clear bra and chipped the paint. Also, the car was out of service when I went there to replace a module but which module they could not say. They quoted me $94k when I saw it a little less than a month ago. They have dropped the price since then. If it had comfort seats, I would have made an offer.

Is the Daytona car CPO? Doesn't state that specifically, which is odd....

Also not really a fan of those wheels on that car, but that's a personal preference...

Those wheels are forged, which is pretty sweet for OEM wheels.

I drove this car as well. It was the first RS7 I drove and I really liked it. Carbon optic package looks really good and the bang and olufsen speakers look slick when the car starts up. It's not CPO, but it's a 2016 car so it's as good as new. They told me it's been sitting on the lot for months and it was about to go to wholesale since they've kept dropping the price and nobody has bought it.

If you go see that car at Audi of Silver Spring, talk to James... he's very helpful and knowledgeable about the platform and he will take good care of you.

They fed me the same BS about shipping it out any day because it has not moved. Salesmanship 101: create urgency. That was over a month ago...

Nice looking color. And despite some comments I love those wheels. To each his own- it's an easy switch.
I bought my CPO S6 in the fall from these guys as an out of state buyer (NJ). The sales guys were very easy to work with and had pretty aggressive pricing on the S6 as well as my A8 trade in.
Only issue was with the F&I guy who also does Acura- a large portion of my income comes from investments. Told him this and brought taxes with me to verify income. Guy had me waiting for several hours to get financing done- I showed enough yearly income to buy every Acura on the floor including the new NSX in cash plus perfect credit yet he dicked around with multiple banks, etc.

Daniel, nice young man, and I found the whole team there to be excellent- I told them I needed to be out of there in 90 minutes and they had me out in about 75, which from my many car buying experiences is a world record. He also said their Service Department is very "Mod Friendly" so if/when I go stage 1 or make any other mods I guess I can make the trek there for my maintenance.

Yup, take your car to Dimitra. She's the best. I've taken all my cars to her. Evan (Svc manager) is also a huge audi guy and car guy in general and will take care of you!

I also just commented on your FB post in Winchester C&C - i know Chris from the lotus days. Small world.
