As many of you know I switched over to an OEM RS grille. While washing the car (after pulling into my garage I noticed some smoke, (turned out I think to be steam). I don't think this is a big deal at all but just want to be sure.

My old S7 grille covered up the radiator and all that stuff and this one is obviously honeycomb. I sprayed the grille not thinking about that. Is there an issue with spraying the grille like that and the radiator and (i think intercoolers) getting wet? I will use more caution in the future but just wanted to see if you guys with RS's experience the same thing when you are washing a car that is already warmed up.

Side note, it was not a huge amount of steam but still noticeable coming through the top of the grille.

Thanks,
Jesse

Normal... otherwise you wouldn't be able to drive the car in the rain.

Ok cool, I really knew that but wanted to be absolutely sure! My ADD just kind of kicked in[:D]

Thanks for the quick response.

Perfectly normal.

The RS grill is much more open than the S grill, so washing, especially after a run, tends to generate some steam when you hit the radiator [drive]
