So my mmi bricked and I bought a used one off ebay...went to dealer and they removed CP...all good...

Question...if by some miracle I revive my original mmi would it trigger CP if I were to reinstall it in my car?

It has been reset to a new string so the original unit will not work straight off if reinstalled (would trigger component protection again).

OK....so i have my un-bricking rig up....question...if i plug in the old unit to see if it can be revived will CP trigger in the car so that even if I go back to the current fully functional unit CP will still be active? OR does it track to the particular component?
