KW Variant 3 "inox-line" coilovers share technology with our race coilovers developed in our KW Competition program, they can be adjusted independently in compression and rebound damping. The perfect suspension setup for maximum driving pleasure
If you have already made your first performance modifications to your vehicle our KW Variant 3 "inox-line" coilovers will compliment your upgrades. The patented KW-valve technology for separate adjustment of rebound and compression damping allows you to individually setup your suspension.The adjustable KW bottom valve adjusts the low-speed range of the compression level in twelve clicks.

You don’t need any adjusting tools because of the patented compression adjuster at the lower end of the stainless steel housing. The adjustable compression damping with its twelve exact clicks allows you to manually influence body roll, without having to change the spring rate which optimally matches the rebound.

With the individually adjustable rebound setup of the KW Variant 3 "inox-line" coilovers, you can directly influence the handling and comfort with its precise click adjustment. The rebound valves of the KW twin-tube dampers on the upper end of the piston rod will be adjusted via an integrated adjustment wheel or a twist-adjustment wheel which is included with the coilover kit.

By increasing the rebound force via the adjustment wheel, the body movements are reduced and adjusts the pitch and roll behavior of the vehicle giving you more stability at increased corner speed. If you change for example the wheel / tire combination (approved by the car manufacturer) to larger wheels, then with a KW Variant 3 "inox-line" coilovers you will be able to adjust the car's handling perfectly.

As with all KW coilovers, our engineers develop vehicle specific damper settings which undergo comprehensive test cycles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and on our 7-post rig at our KW driving dynamic center. A KW coilover kit makes the driving experience more dynamic and direct. With the rebound adjustablility on our KW Variant 2 coilovers you can have more influence in handling and comfort of the car. With 16 precise clicks you can adjust the KW dampers (more firm or more comfortable) without affecting the the compression damping.

Unlike the traditional standard and sports suspension solutions, KW coilovers have an adjustable spring seat which allows lowering via a trapezoid shaped thread.
Another difference compared to conventional series struts is the proper suspension travel, which is achieved by using shortened coilover strut housings. Therefore, even at the maximum lowering the remaining spring travel is not affected.


Continuous lowering
The lowering of a KW coilover kit can be continuously adjusted at the front axle thanks to the 100 percent corrosion-resistant KW stainless steel strut. The dirt-resistant trapezoid threads and the long life polymide adjustment collar make the height adjustments easy even after years of use. The adjustment technology used by KW works even under spring preload. Depending on the vehicle type, the level of the lowering at the rear axle is handled either directly at the strut for McPherson struts (for example Subaru Impreza); or via the KW rear axle height adjustment at the spring retainer.


KW dampers and KW springs
A coordinated unit that provides a sporty driving experience. High-quality components, vehicle specific damper manufacturing, and damper setup with many years of experience in development of suspension kits for the international motorsports is a characteristic of the KW damper technology.

The KW coilovers, for road vehicles, are built utilizing the successful twin-tube damping principle which is often used for active regulation series suspensions. With twin-tube dampers, the piston housing (inner tube) also called rebound housing and the differential housing (outer tube) are put together.

Hi KRp220,

For the B8 S4 the HAS kit will lower the car from 0.6" to 1.8" up front & 0.6" to 1.6" rear. The HAS system re-uses the factory shocks/dampers.

The advantage of a full coilover kit is with the dampers. From fixed dampening to rebound to rebound and compression adjustment.

KW height adjustable spring kits are a great alternative to conventional springs. You don’t have to be satisfied with a fixed lowering as you can adjust the height with the KW height adjuster even after the kit has been installed.

Your vehicle not only gets a more dynamic look with the KW height adjustable spring kit, but the steering behavior and response of the standard dampers becomes more agile. All driver assistance systems and comfort features of an adaptive series suspension remain with our vehicle specific developed spring set up.
No more 30-30 or 40-40!

With conventional lowering springs you have to decide on the lowering from the beginning, but not with the KW height adjustable spring kits. Depending on the vehicle specific application, you can change the lowering within the adjustment range with the threaded spring perch even when the springs are already installed. For example, the KW height adjustable spring kit for an Audi S5 allows you to lower the car in the range of 5-35 mm, and will not have any difficulties to adjust the lowering when changing your wheel/tire combination.
