Hey All,

Had my PSS10's installed a few weeks ago. I finally put a few hundred miles on them and I notice that the front passenger is knocking a bit on decent bumps and driveway entrances. I also observed that the front passenger was the only wheel that was greatly out of alignment when they gave me the spec sheet after the install. There is also a significant wheel vibration which I think is coming from the same wheel, but might be a rear. The vibration I feel like I can attribute to the tire maybe needing a balancing, possibly the spacers, but more likely balancing.

That said, what are some things I can look at in advance of an appointment to help diagnose the issue? Is there anything I can quickly look at to make sure its correct? Spacers/washers/torques/etc? One last coincidence is that in the box of stock parts they returned to me, one of the stock struts had a thick silver washer on it, the other did not. Is it possible they forgot to install one?

Im going to take it in, but was hoping it was something I could diagnose in advance.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Did you install aftermarket upper control arms? If so remove the rubber boots on top of the strut towers under the hood and check to see if they may be loose, if that's the case then raise the car and tighten those bolts.

You got the car back and the one wheel "was greatly out of alignment"? Was the shop not also setting the alignment? What do you mean greatly out?

Sounds like you are chasing a couple of possible issues. Things I would do:
1 - Check lugs are properly torqued. If any of the lugs were not properly tight then take for a test drive and see if it is resolved.
2 - Remove spacers, reinstall wheels (using the proper lugs of course), drive it and see if problem goes away
3 - Swap wheel side to side to see if the vibration moves
4 - Swap in your spare one wheel at a time to confirm the wheel you think is out of balance and if the vibration goes away
5 - Check all the swaybar and endlink nuts/bolts (not sure if they would have loosened any of them during the coilover install but easy to check)
6 - Check control arm nuts/bolts like toobigtofail said
