So as not to derail AWE's other post any more than it already has been I'd like to start a new thread regarding AWE's S-FLO CF Intake. I saw all of the early threads when new tunes and tunes beyond Stage 1 came out and while I was concerned about the claims made AWE chimed in and stated they were looking into it and would be releasing a fix or update to resolve the problems that had been identified. I purchased my S-FLO intake back in early 2015 as soon as they released and I can't say I noticed a power loss after installing it on my Stage 1 APR tune, I haven't gone beyond Stage 1 yet so this probably hasn't been an issue for me personally but knowing that it could be an issue in the future I would certainly be interested in knowing more about how I can retain this intake and not have to be worried about it falling short vs other options if/when I chose to move beyond Stage 1.

Since that time I've been waiting quietly and patiently, unlike some others [;)], for an update from AWE and now that this topic has bubbled up again and I too am interested in the update I'll start with a few questions:

1) For customer who have a 1.0 version of this intake will this 2.0 update be something that can be performed to a 1.0 intake?
2) If not, what options will you provide to a 1.0 customer?
3) Would you be willing to share any more details about the revision's changes? Maybe some dynos, teaser pics, or other info that can show improvements and progress?
4) In the other thread I saw that "Q1" of 2017 was the release time, any more specifics on a release date that you're shooting for?

I have to say I love the intake and was super stoked to get it as were quite a few other people who waited eagerly for its released and purchased right away. I've had great experience buying from AWE and their customer service and I hope that they deliver on this like they have in the past.

Good thread, and I'm curious as to the responses as well.

I've got a 3.0T S-Flo intake for sale in the Classifieds if anyone is interested. I'm selling my car and that's the only reason I'm selling the intake. I've been more than pleased with the quality of the part, the supercharger whine it produces, and the slight power increase I detected with my trusty butt-dyno.

I had the original carbon S-Flo on my S7.

Looked good but really didn't deliver anything (lm still running stock). Had it 4 months and put a Roc-E on. Totally blew it away and won't be going back to any V2.0 or higher.

I'm also waiting to see how the ver. 2 performs, but if it doesn't pan out I'm considering the Revo RS7 style intake. I originally wanted a Roc-Euro, but due to all the delays gave me plenty of time to see enough videos to know I don't want it. I like the sound, but it would drive me crazy after a while. I could put up with it in a weekend toy, but as a DD I just can't do it. Although it does give me flashbacks of earlier days in modified Grand Nationals and Supras, but now I just want to hear the V8 [:D]

If you want to hear the V8, then the intake won't help you (all you will really hear are the turbos spooling up and the dump valve letting go)

You need to mod the exhaust (don't waste your $$ on new exhausts).

1. Delete the centre muffler and replace with a stainless steel x-pipe.
2. Delete the front resonators and replace with stainless straight pipe.

Completely transforms the car. And oh, that V8 you wanted to hear, you can't miss it [drive]

Hello Gamebreaker - hope you don't mind this direct e mail. I'm looking into an intake for my new S6 APR Stage 1 which is also my daily driver. I was considering the Roc-Euro until I read your comments on its sound. Can you add any color to what the sound is like? I'm 60 years old and don't want anything that I will grow tired of during my daily commute and your thread suggests this is exactly what will happen.

What about the Revo option? Any more info on that?

Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge!

The muffler delete sounds nice but I went with the AWE touring a long time ago.

As for the intake sound I just watched a number of videos and it sounded like a lot of the modified turbo cars from back in the day. I know the sound well as I said before I do like it, but just not on my daily driver. I did it before, but now I think I would just get tired of it, but if I do go stage 3 down the road I might make an exception.

As for the Revo intake, from what I read it was a slightly modified RS7 intake with a cone filter and a bit cheaper than the AWE S-flow

Happy New Years bump. Now that the holidays have past I'm hoping to see some response from AWE [:)]

I assumed the roc euro was going to be obnoxious but it's really not that bad , especially if you have an exhaust. I almost forget it's there most of the time

WRT your first question, I found the following statement from AWE and from the way it's worded I assume they won't have a solution for owners of the version 1.0 intake???

Thread resurrection! Sadly, no response to the initial post. We're in Q2 2017 now, any chance of an update from AWE?

Have you tried contacting them directly? I did and below is the response I got a month ago. The more people that contact them directly the more it could push things along.

We're currently looking to get ahold of a stage 2 tuned vehicle for testing of our updated design.

I'm unsure what we're going to do for those who have the v1 version as of yet since the software came out years later after our intake.
