Howdy guys and gals!

Picked up my S4 last Sunday, and I'm still trying to gather information on it. The only stock parts that came with car from the dealer were the front brakes and springs. I haven't had it up on a lift yet to check for anything else, but wondered if there was a way to check into this. I know Stasis is defunct now, so I figure that's not an option. I tried the original dealer but they have no records.

I'm thinking its a Touring Package, but I talked to an old Stasis rep near me and he said the parts were all a la carte to begin with.

Installed parts that I can see:

Exhaust
Springs
Front BBK
Wheels

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ironically enough, I just got my new to me 2010 on a lift last month and it has only the sway bar from the Touring package.

Was it sold to you as a Stasis tuned car?

Wasn't mentioned by the dealer. So technically no, but it has all the listed parts on it. For what it's worth, it has "Signature Series" badges on the sides and trunk. I'd just like to be pointed in the right direction to verify it, lol.

No definitely not. It was sold as a stock car with the above sway bar and full AWE resonated downpipe Touring edition edition. [:D]

Send your vin to REVO and ask.

I have the same the same package also with the badging and floor mats. It has this touring edition package, but the tune was changed to APR Stage2 and the brakes are Stoptech.http://www.stasisengineering.com/signature/stasis-signature-series-s4-30-2013

I never even noticed the badges until someone else pointed them out. I never really looked closely at them when I 1st bought it last July. Just figured they said "Supercharged".

Fun update of the day- I took my car to the dealer to get the DSG looked at (its under warranty individually) and it was TD1'd under the PO. Apparently my car DID have ECU work done and it had had suspension work as well, so Im guessing my car was largely Stasis because of the sway bar which probably wouldve made it a Revo car.

Within the same year of purchasing MonSoonHell, I purchased and had installed the STaSIS Touring Package. The only difference between the Touring and Signature package was suspension components and the baffle-less exhaust tips. Immediately after the install, I removed the baffles, making the exhaust the Signature system. My tune is definitely Revo, I have the V.2. tune, making decent power at 357 whp and 369 wtq. If you are wanting to upgrade your tune, talk to Revo, they should take care of you. However, they may come back and say that since you were not the original owner who paid for the STaSIS package, they may not honor the special pricing to upgrade. Worth a shot though.

Funny thing on the STaSIS website.. they show the package for the S4 as 2013+, yet they show a 2012 or B8 model.

Were you the one who originally purchased the STaSIS kit? Or purchased the car after the install?

anyone know if there is any sound tone change or decibel increase by removing the baffles from the exhaust tips?

LOL... hhmm...is this a trick question? yes, there is a difference in tone. Again, it IS the only difference between the two exhaust systems (Touring and Challenge). I created a YouTube video inside the car with the window cracked as it was raining with the Challenge Exhaust system (removing of baffles). click here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAakHhYflB0) for the YouTube video.

I did not create a video with the Touring system (baffles installed). The system is louder (not obnoxious) 1st thru 4th gears and goes quieter in the OD gears. Hope this helps.

No. No tricks here... I just never could find a clear explanation as to the real differences or advantages of removing the baffles on my touring system (even from the Stasis webpage). Your thoughts are very helpful. Thanks...

Update on Revo:

Totally forgot about what week it was (had to work) so they'll hopefully get back to me on Monday.

We finally have a sunny day so I'm gonna look and see about the baffles this afternoon after work.

The screw is on the bottom of the tips. If I recall correctly, it requires a flat head screwdriver and some needle pliers to remove them..unless you have really skinny fingers.

I'm the original owner so I'm not sure of their policy for used cars. That being said tunes are locked to VIN so I would be curious if they would deny it if it's in their system.

I have a 2010 Stasis car with wheels, exhaust, and tune. I just pulled these silencers out last week once I learned what they were. It gave it a deeper tone and a slightly more audible grumble. Also my exhaust was an early version without the Stasis down pipes. I still had the two baby resonators as well. I never really liked the sound of the exhaust before I pulled the silencers. I had an exhaust shop weld in a cross pipe in place of the resonators so now my exhaust looks like the pictures on the Stasis website. Sounds way better now, more like the milltek exhaust.

I'd be interested to see if Revo would update my tune to revision 2 since the original owner had the dealer install Stasis parts and the tune.

I just spoke with Pacific German here in OC and they said prior to early 2012 all Stasis tunes were APR. Somewhere in early 2012 they switched to Revo. I tried dealing with APR and they wanted a receipt showing I paid for it because I'm not the original owner. No love from APR for me.
