So, long story short, my MMI screen is cracked, and fucked. Found one locally at a wrecker, thankfully, same part number. I'm under the belief that I may have to go to a dealership after changing it to have it unlocked/coded or something similar, is this true? Assuming it's not the type of coding I can do with my VAGcom?

Dealership needs to remove the Component Protection but a few AZ members have been able to do it themselves.
