I picked the color for this exact reason:

I really love your ride height. I recently put PSS10s on my car and am waiting for things to settle to dial it in. What is your FTG measurement on front and rear?

Nice ride, lots of great mods. Do a stage 2 tune and pully... you wont regret it.

Thanks! I believe my front is 27.5" and the rear is 28". Ever so slight rake. I can pm you if you want exact measurements.

As for Stage 2, it's some thing I have been wrestling with. For now, I will finish up more of the aesthetics which is waiting to see what ECS does for the CF front lip, getting the enlaes deck lip, and some wheels.

Car looks good. If I could offer my $.02... go stage 2. My biggest regret with the car is not going to stage 2 sooner. Everything else is just small/minor improvements compared to that. Also, good luck with Enlaes... (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/740786-Enlaes-Out-of-Business) You might want to try to find a different deck lip.

I agree, Stage 2 is hands down the best mod for the money IMHO. That was the first thing I did along with tint and I don't regret it at all.

Im 26.25" FTG and it doesnt look nearly as low as yours, I would love exact measurements to compare if you can.

I'm also curious to get exact measurements. I don't think he could possibly be at 27.5 / 28" based on the photos. The drop looks really good and I've been shopping for a shock+spring combo, so this could be a contender.

Im going to come down about another 10-15mm I think. Might hit the sweet spot there.

if i get another S4 in the spring, i will consider red. How pearly is Misano? is it ever orangey? (i had a briallant red A4 in the past and trying to compare...)

I miss my red S4s. Phantom black with Magma interior is great, but I'm just a red car guy. I had 2 Brilliant and 1 Misano S4s before my current one.

Always love to see more Misanos!! I originally thought the all blacked out look was the best look, but some of the tasteful chrome bits with dark (not black) wheels are making me change my mind!

Here's mine for what it's worth:

Nice car, man. Funny you say that, I am literally waiting for TAG to return the front grille S4 badge so I can switch out to complete gloss black.

It's my first red car and it is definitely a different experience; people seem to be way more aggressive or extremely passive around me on the road.

Yeah that's my winter setup. NJ Roads require a minimum 2 inches of sidewall in the winter. I had blown several tires and bent several rims on my previous GTI driving around on 19's before I learned that lesson.

Thank god Portland roads aren't complete shit. Even though I hate the idea of making the flowers my winter set up once I get my wheels, I can't justify the cost of getting an 18" set of wheels with tires just to preserve the stock flowers.

Mine is literally one of the last US spec made as far as far as the b8.5 is concerned. I ordered mine mid August of 2015 and they stopped selling them in order to prepare for factory prep for the b9 some time in September.

Beautiful car! The S4 in red is HOT! I'm jealous, but if I'd have gone red I'd get a ticket every week with all of my highway driving.

Stage 2 is a must! EPL has extended their sale, it's a no brainer. Once you do it you will regret not having done it sooner.

^^ I agree!! I held off on a tune for so long but as soon as I saw that EPL Black Friday sale I jumped all over it. Couldn't be happier!

In the year I've owned the red car, I haven't been pulled over. When purchasing it, I had read an article or two stating that the red car thing is a myth and you are not not more likely to be pulled over statistically. With the Valentine one on my side, I have escaped a couple of close calls doing a little over in some sting areas.

I got pulled over in my Laser Red B5S4 all the damn time... probably mostly my fault though.

Now that I'm old and boring, it's all monochromatic for me... Until midlife crisis and I pickup a Crayola colored P-Car.

Car looks great!

Nice! I love that classic mesh style wheel. I am still thinking out the options as far as wheels. I want some thing simple with a gloss finish. Even with proper equipment and chemicals, the BO wheels are a pain in the ass to keep clean.

Agreed! Maybe a slight tint over the rear tail lights and have you thought about wrapping the roof black? Just a little something different to make it really stand out? Just a thought...

Still though, my comment on page 1 of this thread still stands... go to Stage 2...

I've heard you will quickly go through the stock clutch with a stage 2 upgrade. Then on top of that, it's ideal to have the aftermarket cooler for the supercharger. What's your thoughts on this?

Hi Man,

Nice build. Did you remove the bumper for ECS-duffuser installation?

since i was at supreme when the techs did his diffuser. They pulled bumper and put a few screws into the tabs of diffuser/bumper to hold it solid.

the ecs diffusers like to pop out at the corners unless you do this. easy 40min job

chasery
05-31-2018, 06:09 PM
As Tar stated, the bumper did have to come off in the original installation. It took my buddy and I about 1.5 hours with no experience taking off the rear bumper. The biggest pain of it all was the debris wedged in to the tabs/tab holders where the diffuser mounts. The slight pop out was resolved by the guys over at Supreme Power and I couldn't be happier with the little effort it took!
