Installing a analog sensor for a p3 gauge. One end of the tubing that was supplied has a rubber hose and a t fitting. Does anyone know where these are installed to?

I didn't use their hose. I've heard it frequently melts. I picked up vacuum hose from car parts and ran it from the boost tap to a small engine fuel filter, then to the boost sensor.

You'll want to do this as oil and gasses leak from the boost tap and will eventually make their way to the sensor ruining it. The fuel filter traps it and keeps your expensive electronics safe.

My boost tap has 2 taps on it. One is plugged but they give you nipple should your want to run 2 different boost sensing mechanisms, though I find it rare. I'm guessing that's why they gave you a T fitting though.

EDIT: what I meant here is that the T fitting is probably for if you already had an existing boost line you were tapping into, otherwise you go direct to your boost tap, which you'd have to install. Not sure if it I was clear, also not sure if you were asking how to hook it up or if you just wanted to know why they'd send you a T fitting.

I have mine sitting in front of me...

The prong fitting goes to the boost tap. The electrical plug to the P3.

There is likely a "DIY" if you could call it that on P3's website.

Should be pretty straight forward.

Edit, didn't know they provided their own tubing. Post above covers it well [:)]

Both ends are rubber hoses that's attached to a plastic line. One end is just a rubber hose the other end is the rubber hose connected to a plastic tee fitting. Just curious on what side attaches to the boos tap and which to the analog sensor.

T fitting is for if you are tapping into an existing boost line, you don't need it. Connect one end to the boost tap and the other to the analog sensor.

I still highly recommend my advice above. Setup an oil trap, or you will be buying another sensor in a few months. Also, get better hose.

Thanks for Advise just spoke to p3 and pretty much said the same. I will install a inline vacuum filter and purchase some more rubber hose

I did my install last night. Used a inline fuel filter for a lawn mower. I also had to use a step-down coupler as seen in the pic.

(After I took this picture I tucked everything down and out of sight)

The rest of the tubing is ran through the gap for the brake lines in the first firewall, the grommet into the ECU box and then under the ECU into the cab.

Note: There is no need to pull the dash apart, you can do everything with just the side panel off.

Most annoying part of the install was getting the hosing through the grommet for the ECU box.

Good luck.

Also, solid advice about the fuel filter eightamrock. When I was installing the tap itself I saw quite a bit of residual oil and could see how it would become an issue.

While I had it off I also quickly checked the ICs for the SC as a few have reported minor leaks.

All good [up], Didn't see anything else interesting worth checking out.
