All of a sudden my brakes are making a ton of noise. I checked the pads and there is plenty of life left. Anyone else deal with this? Any reason why? Shit brake pads from Audi?

Common. Search. It's the pad material. Happens to all of us on OEM pads when it's cold.

I switched my rear pads to ceramics, but I'm still getting squeal. It's not as loud, but still there.

Usually road dirt / snow in winter will cause extra noise when its colder. nothing to worry about

1. Replace OEM pads with Akebono's

2. Enjoy your peace and quiet

3. Find a hobby to spend the time you used to use cleaning your wheels

This. Stock pads have nice initial bite and feel sporty but they emit clouds of dust like I've never seen on previous cars. Never had squealing with my stock brakes but went Akebono and never had a peep and near zero dust.

To fix the squeal you'll probably need to disassemble the pads/calipers to hi-temp grease the metal-on-metal parts that are the source of the noise. Good time to throw in pads IMO. No need to swap or turn rotors if you have modest mileage on them.

Mine screams at everybody in the morning when it's -6C outside. Takes about 15min before it slowly calms down. Very embarrassing. [drive]

Even with the grease it won't last long. These breaks are made of a bad compound for sound vibration.
