Well I have things all lined up for my next motor. I'm picking up a complete motor with 22k mi and all new accessories wiring manifold etc, in Maine on saturday, I'm also picking up a vr6 ob1 TB with an idle control screw so I can get a better idle[:D] I'll be leaving Fri coming home Sat, installing the motor Sat and not going to sleep until its running!! man I'm pumped

Then in January I'll be pulling the motor again, doing Scat rods, a 6puck clutch, allroad trans mounts and rs4 motor mounts. Then it will be time to hit the dyno

Meanwhile my old motor has found a new resting place as of last night [:D] It still under construction we have to make the 3 other cup holders, install the blue lights so that all the edges glow blue, and sink the piston into the surface as an ash tray...although no ones smokes but i guess for the pimp factor [;)]

12-04-2005, 07:45 PM
yeah rennen is the shit up here when it comes to VAG cars. they do some pretty crazy engine swaps (1990 jetta VRT that runs 12's and some pretty crazy cabrios) their next door neighbor F1 Dyno has an all wheel dyno and specialize in suburu... they also have 2 twin turbo vipers putting down over 1k horsepower. its only like 15 mins from me...

you need to use cams for the legs instead of those ghetto cans

put em through the table if they're too long and the gears are perfect feet. or the other way around

12-05-2005, 12:21 AM
u got any trashed cams? We are looking for some plexi tubes that was can scuff up and shine light though so that they glow blue along with all the edges

12-05-2005, 12:39 AM
you should anti rust it and put spot lights in the cylinders pointing up...
good work nonetheless

Nicely done, at least you didn't just trash it. Always better to make furniture out of car parts.

Good luck with the engine drop in next weekend.

yo Tom, I have a 2.0L aba 8v cam gear I'll give you. You can use it with tony's idea of cams for legs. BTW, how does it not stain the carpet? did you hot tank the thing or just clean it up well?

12-05-2005, 06:54 AM
haha didnt hot tank it, put it in the parts cleaner then powerwashed it, then lit it sit in the parking lot during a little monsoon we had...doesnt matter if it does ruin the carpet, they are tearing this apt down in a couple yrs

Cams for legs is a good idea.
