Hi All,
Been wondering this one for a while...I think it would be interesting to know how many pounds of boost (for those of you with a boost gauge) are peaking at in ideal conditions. Please let me know if you think I'm missing a category here...
Car/platform/transmission: 2012 b8 S4 6mt
Tune/pulley/fuel: chipwerke pro / CTS / 93
Intake/exhaust: injen / AWE track exhaust w/ resonated down pipes
Location/conditions/ambient temp: Chicago / 20 degrees F
Boost gauge: P3 VIDI w/ boost tap
Boost: 17.3 lbs
Thanks!
Edit: I will track info as more responses come in and if there is enough interesting data, I will put it all together and share it with everyone. Thanks for the replies!

Also should include intake, exhaust, and ambient temp. Those affect boost as well.

Good call. Will make that edit now.

This is just a good idea in general, regardless of stage II or not.
I will be adding in a boost tap for my P3 shortly. (Should get the parts on Saturday)
After that I can provide some data for Stage II ported and non-ported TB.

Fair point...wish I could edit the title. Will look forward to having your data.
You will love the P3 gauge, btw.

P3 is already in. Just now that I am running the CW to control bypass I don't have accurate boost readings anymore. (Peaks at 13ish with the CW on 4-1)

Yeah. I had this issue as well. Makes sense considering how a piggyback works. Boost tap is a fairly cheap/easy install. Well worth it IMO.
Also, are you saying that you're stacking your stage II with chipwerke? That's interesting. I thought people were only doing that for dual pulley before dual pulley specific tunes came out.
I just flashed to EPL stage II and I'm now only making 14 lbs of boost. Chris said it may just take some adaption but, obviously I was curious to know what others were experiencing as well.
Maybe l will put the chipwerke back on?

I am running a STaSIS(Revo) Stage I ECU/TCU tune. Using the CW to essentially be Stage II as I didn't want to purchase a new tune until I went DP.
----
I wouldn't add the CW back in unless you are logging to confirm you are bypassing. CW introduces some wonky stuff sometimes [:)]

https://youtu.be/aaPnqkyo0yQ Skip to 8:35. (For those too lazy) video says 14 psi.

You guys should really add altitude and either readings from boost gauge or calculated from map sensors. I think p3 only reads requested since psi has to be calculated from the map. Correct me if I am wrong though.

If your boost reading is via the P3's analog boost tap sensor, it is the actual boost pressure.

Yes but I just want to make it clear for those who have P3 without boost tap.

That's about what I was getting on EPL stg II at 70 degrees here in CO. I picked up 5lbs going dual pulley with similar conditions. I'll try to update now that cooler weather is here. Highly recommend dual pulley for us high altitude guys.
