First of all, I want to clear something, I don't really care for the 30$, yes I own a S4, yes I can afford a 30$ replacement. It's simply a matter of '' principle''
Long story short ; I had clunk and wasn't sure what it could be, I thought it was improper torque nut on the suspension. Turns out it was my sway bar end link that I just swapped this spring because I thought it would be a good idea to put metal link instead of old plastic oem one as my maintenance/refresh of the car.
Decided to go with Febi Bilstein from Europa parts ( should've went with Moog instead..). So, they have 5k km on it and about 6 month old. 2 of them are worn and are the reason why it clunk.
- So I ask Europa around Black friday. Obviously, it took 1 weeks to reply ( thats okay.. its BF week right?), then it took another week to reply back.. jeez that's long! lol but whatever. strike 1
- Shipping charge to Canada for 2 little rear sway link is 46$, part are worth 34$.. Make sens to you ? I get a reply saying '' we don't make money out of shipping''. Well, I've had D3S shipped for free and a crank pulley from florida ( heavier and bigger package) both from USPS for much much less than 46$, so how the heck can you be charged 46$ from NJ to MTL ? strike 2.
- '' Sir, you need to pay your order (34+46=80$ + any duties etc.), then ship us back the 2 worn link ( add 15-20$ish) and we'll credit you 34$ once we receive them. End of story, you get a 34$ credit, but you just spent 65$ on shipping lol''
I then asked the CS if that made any sens to him ? to which he never replied to my question. strike 3.
For such scenario ( where shipping cost is higher than the part itself, they could just say, '' okay, no need to send it back, we'll ship them free as long as you pay shipping'' this already make more sens as it avoid shipping cost to send back and trouble of shipping it back.
Moral of the story ;
- Buy from Moog instead of Febi Bilstein. :) Since Europa doesn't sell Moog, buy from someone else.
- To Europa, if you are not willing to offer a full warranty, simply don't state these comes with warranty OR only offer warranty on item worth more than 100$.

They're on Amazon for cheap at one point. Not sure if they're still available there though

Good morning. All emails that were sent to us were responded to, stating that they weren't is a bit of a stretch and I have no problem sharing screenshots. The last form of communication we had from you was "Okay, I'm not gonna insist further, but you can bet you will hear about my experience on Audizine. this make no sens at all."
We responded to that email giving you various options such as shipping it to the address that was originally on the order (New York, near the Canadian border). I think it would be fair to represent the facts as they were, rather than saying that we were non responsive.
The reason that the shipping rates are higher than the original order was due to the fact that the original order was sent to NY, the replacements were to be sent to Canada. Variables such as different destinations, especially when the destination is now a different country, will result in a higher postage... we have absolutely no control over that.
We still stand by our parts and the warranty behind them. The last email that we sent stated that it would be less expensive to ship it to the original address if possible, to which we never received a response.
These situations can become frustrating however we are here to resolve them, but there is a limit as to what we can do... especially if all forms of communication are terminated by the buyer and they turn to the forums for moral support while giving half truths about the situation.

1) Feel free to screenshot your reply of my email sent the 29th november. I would LOVE to see it ! Truth is, you never replied, and this email was sent the 24th, got a reply 5 days later. Once I replied, never heard back.
2) If it was possible to send to NY, I would've asked for that option, but it's not.
3) Solutions were offered. You didn't want to move. Like I said, I'm not going to waste 5 hours and get me a headache for 34$ worth of parts. this is just a very honest head up to anyone thinking about 1) ordering from Europa parts to Canada ( same goes for ECS who has a reputation for over-charging shipping) and 2) thinking about getting Febi-Bilstein parts as you seems to be the only retailer in North america to stock them so if something goes wrong, your at the mercy of Europa parts. ( while at the opposite, theres plenty of retailer selling moog link)
I actually gave you a chance to make it right on my first attempt the 24th nov and on my second attempt the 7th dec. both times I was offered non-sens option.

I have been running EuroCode drop links for something like 4 years with zero issues.
What I don't understand is why you are wasting even more of your time continuing to beat a dead horse.

those kind of link doesn't work in canadian weather :)
Because I wanted to give a legit ''head-up''. Now, since europa took the time to respond, I felt I had to reply, but don't worry, I have no intention to reply again. I knew the comment would pop one time or another.

Tough to know who is and isn't at fault here without everything in front of me. Both parties pointing fingers means someone isn't being completely honest.
At the end of the day, you can ship several pounds worth of stuff pretty quickly from Ohio to Toronto (as I have done many times) for twenty or so USD. I'm not talking a small box with sway bar end links, I'm talking bigger boxes with textiles. Your presumed assumption of $15 to $20 of shipping is probably not far off, as I'd expect a higher shipping rate from Montreal than Toronto. Requiring the customer to pay for shipping on a defective part is, to me, poor business, especially when the part is so small and shipping *shouldn't be* very much. I recently purchased a new cell phone with a manufacturing defect; Google next-day airmailed a phone to me for free, and I would bet that was more than $20.
Long story short, any other potential communication issues aside, I have to side with the customer and agree that not only requiring the customer to pay for shipping, but also gouging them on it, is just bad customer service. On the flip side, I'm sure there are plenty of satisfied Europa customers who would beg to differ.

Just a head up, I found the same link from UK for....... 22$ CND SHIPPED!!!! Another shop is selling them for 32cnd shipped from Germany.
So you are going to tell me this arm cost almost 80$cnd to ship from NJ to Montreal ? please....
Let's move on but you are warmed, europa CS is pretty poor and their shipping charge is outrageous.

What honestly do you wish from me ? I buy a part, it fail, it suppose to carry a 1yr warranty. I have to send 2 emails + 1 LIVE CHAT conversation over the course of 3 weeks to finally get a reply and the answer is NO. I mean, where can be lying ?
Only part where I could be lying is where I pretend Europa never responded to my email.. and 1 week since this thread, I've yet to heard back from Europa showing me evidence of them replying to my email sent the 29th november. It will never happens because they never replied back ! ( let's just hope the customer forget about it I guess ?)
I wouldn't feel confortable buying big order from them seeing how they treat you for such a cheap parts. Imagine an expensive one.. Lesson learn ! [headbang]
