FYI....a guy in the B8 Network found this. If anyone needs a new LPFP due to theirs crapping out or want to upgrade to the flex fuel version, they are $344.09 at this dealer:

Thanks Dozer. Just bought it! Only had a low pressure code when running over e75, but I figure it would be good to have some headroom.

Not to savvy on fuel delivery systems. What's the difference between the high pressure and low pressure pumps? And which would I want if I was aiming to run full e85 on dual pulley? Thanks

You would need the autotech hpfp no matter what for stage II or DP full e85. The lpfp requirement is a little harder to say and depends on your tune, pulley ratio, % ethanol and status of your OEM pump.

Guys at EPL mentioned they were seeing fuel issues with stock LPFP around the 196mm mark with the crank pulleys.

and just another thing for the guy questioning pumps, some guys have ran just fine on OEM lp pump and E85 on stage 1_e85 and some of us like myself run into low pressure issues on Stage 1E85.

So when people say Autotech, they mean this upgrade kit? So we disassemble the stock unit and replace the internals?

Sorry for the newb question?

Anyone manage to get ECS to price match this with 'midatlanticaudiparts' price? Unfortunately these guys don't sell internationally

Here's a reason to have a flex fuel sensor, if you are or plan on playing with e85:
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161221/9322218ad1a3816978ff98c8c90c8e72.jpg
Most pumps list 70% minimum.
I still had a little over 3 gallons of 101 Oct prior to filling up and ended up with this:

So the pump was at least e83. I thought that most pumps would have switched to the winter e70 blend by now, but I guess California doesnt, or at least this pump didn't.

Maybe winter Isn't winter in Southern California? lol I'm kidding. I think theyre regulated to do so. But what tune are you on and where is this pump? I can only find Propel stations around me... would be nice to be able to venture out past LA and still be able to find E85 stations

I'm actually in NorCal. Mostly Propel here also, but a few random "other" e85 pumps as well. Download the Gas Buddy app and filter by e85. That's how I found the e85 pump in my post above.

Any clue if this will work in b8 cars versus b8.5's and if not is there an alternative?

B8s have different pumps. Try Audi of America parts catalog online.

I haven't found any lpfp that are flex fuel for the b8. I've looked pretty intently too. Prob cause flex fuel was only offered 2013+. BUT, I think the b8 pump flows better than the non flex b8.5 one. I've never had a lack of fuel issue or code. And I'm e85 duel pulley. As long as my alcohol content is 85% or less, I'm good.
My pump is leaking out of the top electrical connector and filling my cabin with fumes. Not a bad leak, but is present. Strange i know. No codes or anything. I'm thinking the fuel filter on pump maybe clogged also. Got a new pump and sealing ring on the way.

Yep, the OEM B8.5 pump is weaker than the B8

It is good that the 8.5 guys have an option with the flex pump. It seems there is a pattern with the 8.5 guys having more fuel issues than the B8 guys. Just an observation reading though most of the duel pulley and e85 threads. Prob due to their pump.

How did you get this app on your phone to read your ethanol content?

There is a company called "Fuel It" that makes the Bluetooth sensor and the app. Just Google "fuel it n54 ethanol" they specialize in BMW, but their sensor will work for our cars.

Did you have to tap the fuel line? Or how did you install it?

Yes you have to cut into the fuel line and install a GM flex fuel sensor. The Fuel It sensor plugs into that senor. Look at their Web page, it may clear things up.

No offense, but you may not want to pursue it then. Just purchase one of their vial type measurement tools and verify ethanol content at the pump.

My experience in CA has revealed no change in ethanol content in the E85 sold during the summer vs during the winter. All high ethanol stuff here.

Just filled up with a few gallons of E85 here in DC, and with my ethanol tester, it came out to 82-83 %. Pretty strong for mid January.

Colby,
Did you ever have a chance to iron out the Fuel-It Bluetooht Ethanol Analyzer issue showing 100% while on pump fuel?
Thinking about this addition soon.

Anyone having injector issues?
I have had P219E and P21A1 codes pop up randomly after running E85 for months straight. They would only appear when putting around town. Never when doing any kind of heavy throttle runs. I thought I had two injectors sticking but I did some research and when running E85 it's pretty common for injectors to get gummed up. The easiest solution is to switch back to pump gas and run a few bottles of injector cleaner. I switched back to a 93 pump file and ran two bottles of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner on back to back fill ups. Now when I fill up with E85 I put two ounces of Lucas Oil Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner and the codes have not reappeared.

Thinking on getting FLEX FUEL SENSOR WITH BLUETOOTH ETHANOL ANALYZER (http://www.fuel-it.biz/flex-fuel-sensor-with-bluetooth-ethanol-analyzer/).
Questions:
Did you have to use any adapters or just default 3/8 fuel line worked?
Did you wire the analyzer to your ECU or just use it through Bluetooth?
What 12V source in the engine bay are you using?

For reference check out this thread: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/699371-Fuel-It-Bluetooht-Ethanol-Analyzer
*Did you have to use any adapters or just default 3/8 fuel line worked? The 3/8 line will work but for a cleaner setup I used 3/8 to 3/8 quick disconnect fittings Link (http://www.autozone.com/fuel-systems/fuel-line-repair/dorman-3-8-in-steel-to-3-8-in-nylon-tubing-fuel-line-quick-connector/839131/?_requestid=932863&CJPID=6147009&cmpid=cj)
*Did you wire the analyzer to your ECU or just use it through Bluetooth? You will use it through Bluetooth.
*What 12V source in the engine bay are you using? I used an open terminal in the center of the cowl.
