Hi, new here. My wife and I got a 2014 Audi S4 back in 2014 for her daily driver (I take public transportation usually) and have loved it so far. This weekend we had a bit of an issue where the garage door came down on the car as she was pulling into the garage, which scrapped the top (not too bad) but hit the antenna, scuffed it and bent it slightly. Looking at it now, it looks like the bottom is slightly lifted off (maybe 1-2mm). We want to get it fixed but with the holidays and some home renovations starting this week, I'd rather put it off for a bit if I can. However, the concern is if it's still water tight. I notice that the antenna has a rubber base but not sure if that's just to avoid scuffing the roof paint or if that seals out water when it rains. I've been googling to see how the antenna installs but I can't find anything for the B8. Does anyone have an idea if I can let it go for a bit or how much it would be to fix this or what it entails?

It's just a single nut that holds it down.

If you pull the headliner you should be able to assess the damage.

Remove the C pillars covers,
Remove the top rear brake light
Pull down on the back of the headliner to undo the 4 clips noted in the picture above.
That should give you enough space to see the nut. (I haven't done this so I am not positive)

Everything Whiped said is spot on. JUST 2 weeks ago my buddy removed my antenna to have it painted to go with gloss black roof wrap and this were the steps. The rubber does help seal the hole from letting water come in, so make sure you either tape it or something to avoid getting water in!
