well if you look into Tomritts car(currently has a thread about it), he was running a GT28rs and it made big power. now he's switching to a bigger t3/t4 and he's aiming at 340whp as a daily driver. im pretty sure his gt28rs was at least 260whp....

what software are you going to be running, or are you gonna go standalone?

Normally I would say keep away from the GT30's they have been known to tear an engine apart.

I have a friend who works for Gruppe-S and they dynoed a 1.8 with a GT30 and the friggin engine block cracked! Had 2 blown headgaskets among other things, I talked to my friend and he said they dont like to put those things even in STIs.

Hopefully you will have more luck!

well he is taking care of the internals so i would think he would be fine with the turbo.

Yeah the piston assembly should hold, but then again it didnt hold for the other guy so Im just giving my knowledge about the GT30s.

cracked engine block = improper engine prep and/or tuning. never blame the turbo, that's just ignorant.

yeah, i was just throwing that in. you didnt mention that the other guy had his internals done as well.
