Seeking Advice on 2008 Audi S4 Head Unit

Guys,

My uncle and I are looking for advice on either replacing or having a head unit repaired in an '08 S4. Anyone ever tackle an issue with the LCD screen displaying garbage (see attached)?

Let me know your thoughts?

We are also considering one of those cheap head units that look stock (assuming chinese), but I'm assume it's going to be more trouble than it's worth going that route.

Any input is appreciated!

They never responded if it was the ribbon cable, but another user said they were having the same problem and it was the ribbon cable.

Never fixed one but bought a rnse unit from eBay for $450. Works like a champ.

I plan on upgrading my system soon and will be replacing me RNSE unit
