Hey,

Pulled the motor for a clutch job this weekend and noticed there was some oil sludge (grease?) at the bottom of the flywheel (see pics). The car is an 01 with 74k miles. Clutch started slipping within a month after going Motoza 1+.

Flywheel looks pretty beat..

Any idea what's happening here? Thinking about replacing the main seal just to be safe.

Looks normal. The stock clutches suck.

Cool thanks. Recommend replacing the rear main seal anyway? Anything else while I have this motor out? (besides f21. maybe next year)

I replaced a rear main once. Fucked up install and it leaked. Unless you can promise yourself you will put it on correctly Id leave it. Unless of course you can confirm this one is leaking, then it needs to be done.

The gearbox input shaft seal can fail, too. I would inspect it too.

As per replacing the crank rear main seal, I've never had one still leak, after I've replaced it.

Ouch. I ordered one but if the seal looks decent enough maybe I'll leave it alone. Thanks for the help.
