That when you are driving in icy/snowy conditions that a thinner tire is actually better... Cuts down into the snow better than a wider tire!! Just looking out for you guys! Don't want to see any accidents this year!! Happy turkey day btw!

Only partially true. A narrower tire (Say a 205 series) is better in deep snow. A wider tire (A 225 or 235) is going to be better in the dry/ice.

I'm personally running 225s this winter, and haven't had any trouble.

Make sure to know the tires you're on, know your brakes, know how your car reacts, and what the conditions will allow. Give youself a lot of time to do anything.

Discount tire has turned me into a robot....
