i rearended someone, DONT ASK HOW....it just happened, and yeah i know im an idiot and i suck blah blah all that....

so ANYWAY

damage isnt too big, the paint on my bumper is completely jacked, but i dont see much damage to the bumper...still not sure though...other than that, my hood is bent in a little around the grill area, which caused cracks in the paint above the bends as well. I think ill need a new hood cuase i dont see how thats going to be fixed, so i was looking at CF hoods from AWE for about 800 bucks, im guesing this will be cheaper than getting an oem hood and painting it.

now heres the prob, im going through insurance...is there anyway i could get a cf hood out of this instead of just a normal one???

I believe bitterchild can get you a V&S CF hood for like $460shipped, saw him saying it in another thread.

You could probably get a CF hood if you end up needing a new one. You would get a quote at the body shop, then send the quote to your insurance and they give money for repairs. I'm sure an OEM hood painted would be around $400 anyway.

OEM hood (dealer cost estimate) is $473-$486 as of few months ago + paint... Used OEM or CF should save you some $$

$455 is shipped to me in Maryland. I can probably get you a discounted price shipped to Oregon but it won't be less than $500 for sure. Little more than $600 maybe. Lemme know if you're interested.

Yes, the way you get the hood is by telling the people that are going to do the repairs, that you want a cf hood and give them the contact info... They deal with everything else until your car is done!!
