Searched all over and couldn't find my answer so here I am.

I am shopping around for a C5 S6 and was curious about the curtain airbags in the car. I test drove one today and could see the "airbag" label on the B pillar, but did not see one on the C pillar. I know the rear curtains were an option, but I was curious if that was for the very rear(cargo area) since I know the rear facing 3rd seat was a random option.

Does the curtain airbag that deploys from the B pillar cover both front and rear seats, or would be the an "airbag" label on both pillars? If anyone knows of a diagram that would be helpful too. Thanks!

As I understand it, the side curtain airbags were standard for front and rear seats. The only optional airbags were the rear side bolsters. I don't believe the rear jumper seat in an Avant would have any airbags.

It stops around the middle of the cargo area window. Presumably to ensure coverage of head for the rear occupants. Photo below from when I was fixing sunroof drains. Door opening is the rear door, airbag is the long pouch above the opening, and has co2 canister on the left.

That is a great photo, thank you. I take it you only have the "airbag" label on the B pillar as well?
