Love my car my but I don't wanna sink to much money into it before it becomes a money pit when I could have bought a proper rs car.
I kinda want some one to tell me not to do it.
S6 stage 1 is a big improvement but it will never look as brutal or sound as brutal.
Shouldn't drink and car shop.

No arguments from me - best off trading it for the RS6 rather than ploughing too many £ into the S6 Avant.

In the USA, a C7 or c7.5 RS6 is only a dream. USA only gets the hatchback version.

I don't get Audi's thinking. The Avant is the coolest car they make. I'm trying g to talk myself out of it. But....m

Can you speak to my wife? I'm effectively saving money trading up right ;-)

Americans don't buy wagons. We buy "crossovers" or SUVs. They could probably sell an RS6 Allroad or a RSQ7.

Can't buy it, if it's not available.

You did make a mistake in buying the "S". You should get an "RS". If you like, I will speak to your wife!

The Audi, sure, but other luxury brands have sold HiPo wagons and they don't move enough to make any real money.

I see a dozen supercharged Range Rovers every day.

Ive had the S7 10 months, and Im also thinking about trading up to an RS7 as well!!

The power of these machines is addictive, and I want more - with a factory warranty.

I'll probably go for a used demo in a few months if I can find the spec I want [drive]

You need to try a tune first. If you're considering trading up anyway screw the warranty. My plan was if I break it I'll just trade it. The dealer never even inspects the car.

They overcharge for the sight power increase. Even a piggy back would give you more than that. The external mods are nice though. Looks like the next s6/s7 is downsizing to a v6. Shame. So the only way to go is RS. I'm grtting my resonator deleted in a couple of weeks.then poss downpipes. If that doesn't quench my appetite then I'm going to see what deal I can get. I just want those flared arches and more growl from the exhaust. Not sure why but I watched a video of a stage 2 rs7 and stage 2 s6 and they don't even sound remotely similar.

I did just that
Went from an RS6 sedan to a S6 sedan but missed the extra fun and looks so have gone to an RS6 Avant
Looking at getting an exhaust and chip for it also - for that little extra fun

You just don't regret the extra fun that an RS brings....just maybe the extra stops at a gas station :)

RS6 was just above my comfort financial safe, so went for S6 C7 avant (pretty speced). 'Luckly' for me is was just been tuned to stage 2 by well known tuner. Only had to invest in Milltek non res exhaust. Going next week to tuner again for down/up shift 'C7.5' update (so it pops and burbs bit more).
Me too don't want to spend too much money in the S6 but since upgrade to RS6 will probebly never happen...maybe i'll do.
Full body kit maybe never, maybe replica but not sure....

If you can, don't invest money on it and upgrade now you can :).
Still some time but indeed i think this generation will be one of the last having a V8 :( (one of the reasons i no mather what wanted at least an S6 in life).
and yes, gives me big smile every time i drive it! (visiting the gasstation every week kills the smile a bit but only life once!!)

How do you find the Milltek? I'm torn between AWE (which l had on my 3.0T) and the Valved Milltek - which is significantly cheaper than the AWE. What is the down/up shirt tune you mention?

My S7 is pretty much exactly how l want it, changing it out now would mean taking a financial hit, so my head says don't do it, but......

Bit offtopic (sorry topicstarter)....
Personally, i LOVE the raspy sound, altough some say at some times it sounds like a tractor :p.
Since i have a C7 (untill 2013) it has a different ECU stock parameters for up/downshift then the C7.5.
C7 is pretty silent and civil, where as the C7.5 produces more burbs and plops (farts) especially on the downshifts.
Somehow my S6 only burbs comming from 3 to 2 in M and S, where as it is not so loud comming from higher gears.
Apperently my tuner (JD engineering) can alter this (i guess in a way it is turbo-antilag?) and is going to apply it on my existing tune.
Will report more on this next week hopefully :).

Back to topic :).
I do understand to the topic poster about the much more agressive look of the RS. I see them often here...makes me smelt often why isn't there a cheap exterier upgrade availible (that fits properly). On the other hand, the S6 is such a sleeper and better bang for the buck ;) (and tuned it has enough power, but can you ever have enough!).

MTM apparently offer the anti lag module but it's £500 I think. I love the sleeper look but the RS6 is a pretty thing. I've got enough power it's not even that reason I'm even considering it. I'll probably stick for now I love the car bit it's one of those things you start looking and thinking and before you know it you've signed a new deal. If the exhaust mod is a big improvement I think that will help.

Well i had the S6 C7 for 1 month or so, untill i finally was able to install the milltek non-res (stock downpipe). Stock it was SOOOOOO silent, the milltek (or any exhaust) is a must imho to enjoy the V8. Under comfort/low throttle it is still a sleeper, pushing it it sounds very nice but not over the top. Since you have an 2016, it should sound meaner then 2013 (some antilag by default on yours).

Yeah mine does do that. Interestingly the sports exhaust is not an option in the UK but I get pops and bangs in overrun still. I'm considering a milltek or just downpipes.

Not sure if there are videofiles of stock exhaust with downpipe only....footage enough for milltek (but i suggest the non res version) and since you from the UK might do a great deal locally.

Imho, non res is fun enough. Downpipes would be nice but i have yearly car inspections and not sure what emission tests would give.

I'd buy an RS6 Allroad, but would prefer the RS6 Avant. So in love with that car. Have an RS7 now, would easily trade my Chevy 2500 for an Avant RS6.

There are some great Milltek deals on ebay (UK) at the moment[drive]

I'm just saying, S6 with decent exhaust and tune can be lots of funs.
Yes the RS6 is looking so much beastier but price wish it's a good sleeper ;).
I mean, i got ceramics, good amount of options, beasty sound and on same level more or less then stock RS6....and that for good price (well mine was second hand etc...).
*Smoked a few porsches and masserati today because they tought i was just driving a 'mid-level' audi :). Such a sleeper....

I guess most tuners (that know what they are doing) can fine tune it. Fact is, at least i think, is you need a non res exhaust. There was a simular tuned S7 2014 in the shop (stock exhaust) but they couldn't simulate the bangs on it earlier. Today they put a RS7 sport exhaust on it. Sounded nice, but not as raspy and no bangs :).
*went for a little test drive in the forrest roads here, sounds so beasty lol...but so civil under normal driving ;).

I would say, go for it, you won't be dissapointed ;).
