View Full Version : Rwd mod torsen help!

Whats going on guys doing the rwd mod today first time ever. Got the center differential out and such got most everything off the casing now im trying to figure out how to remove the tor-sen from the case. any idea? I dont really follow through other diys cause they are very old and dont have pictures available.

I probably didn't do it the "correct" way. But I flipped the tail housing over, with the inside of the case facing up. held on to the end of the diff, while lifting it up a little, and gave the housing a little smack with a rubber mallet. It got the tail shaft to slide out of the diff pretty easy. It really doesn't take much.

thanks for the reply, yup got it out! now where does that small spring go? it fell out when the diff was removed...

Why not just do the 4 to 1 diff mod and the car will handle like a rwd?

ehh thought about it nynoah, was just like front axles are dry and starting to go why not just have fun lol

that spring goes between the two spurving bearings that run in a direct line with the panametric clutch, they consist of simply of six hydrocoptic marzul vanes and the spring is so fitted to the ambaphascient lunar wain shaft to prevent side fumbling in panendurmic semi-bulloid slots of the stator.

Not to thread jack, but where can someone source the washers for the 4:1 mod?
