Long story short, 3 of my A/S3 tires are down to between 3& 4/32" and 1 was 7/32"( replaced after a flat). I went to discount tire to have them open a treadlife warranty case- 18k mi total on the tires. I should have but I did not run the numbers beforehand. However , Michelin told me initially that I would be responsible for 63%. But that didnt match up actually to the numbers based on miles vs tread warranty. They put me on hold and added another 20%. So at the end, all I would pay is 43% of the cost. I expected them to come down to 60% at best but they just hit it out the park without any hassle. Getting the A/S3+ mounted in 2 days! Supposedly even better grip that the already good A/S3's.

I read reviews about the AS3+ and they have improved the snow/ice traction quite a bit. And the dry/wet traction is even better than before. DWS06 has better grip in snow but still softer sidewalls and can't match the AS3+ in dry/wet traction . Just becomes a blind choice for me.

Yeah, I read the reviews too. I'm leaning more towards the A/S3+ based on my experience with the PSS quality and performance, but the DWS06 is singing a better tune to my wallet.

Ah . Just saw. Its a $50/tire difference. DWS06 it is then unless the price difference comes down a bit. There is a $70 rebate on the Michelins until the 18th of this month. One thing you can do is to check different retailers for the lowest prices and have discount tire match it. That plus the $70 rebate would bring the price down quite a bit. Can't go wrong with either tire.

Initial impressions- the A/S3+ is a huge improvement over the already great A/S3. The sidewalls seem even more stiff since turns are more direct and precise now. However, the biggest surprise to me is the reduction in cabin noise. The A/S3 already reduced cabin noise compared to PSS but the A/S3+ has very low cabin noise for a low profile tire. My drive to/from work is on I35 which is pretty terrible near Dallas but negligible cabin noise does say a lot about the tires. I am a happy camper so far!

Thanks for the update. I'm going to get my local tire dealer to give me a OTD package (tires/mount/balance/alignment) quote today.
