I've seen videos about being able to store a nametag or nickname for contacts in the phone directory, but don't see the "store name" command it mentions.
Not in the manual either.
Searched the forum with no luck.
2016 A6.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

In the 2016, voice command will find any name in your contact list, so name tags are not required. Just say "call Mark Smith"...

I know.
That's the problem.
I have my family last name in all of my contacts and I don't want to have to say the last name.
I just want to program it to use the first name or nicknames.
Apparently, this was possible in a prior MMI since I've seen videos on it on Audi's website.
I guess it's a new "feature."

Manually change the name of the stored entry in the mmi to what you want, leave out last name..... What am I missing?
I can tell you from experience that the last gen mmi sucked a lot in comparison as each name tag required a voice sample for it.

I changed the entries in my phone, deleting the last names and changing first names to nicknames if necessary.
Still a nuisance.
