I just purchased a 2013 S7 with 15k miles on it in Florida. It's Estoril blue with Lunar Silver which was the combo I was really looking for. It had everything I wanted (B&O, 20's, LED's, colors) except it had oak trim. My first question is who the hell thinks that those two go together? No answer needed.
Anyway, I'm in the process of swapping out the trim, and I was wondering what the general thoughts are around what to do with it.
I can:
a) Keep it with the car for originality sake... I usually do this with OE parts I take off in the modification process.
b) Sell it. Does it have a market? If so, how much?
I think it would like nice with a beige/brown interior, but silver isn't good. Any thoughts?

Have you looked into wrapping it - which might be cheaper than swapping it out. I don't know what type of resale market there would be for those parts, but my gut says not much.

If I were you, I'd just swap it out and keep it in a box for now. The sets are only worth a few hundred dollars typically. Currently, eBay.de for the C7 A7/S6/RS7 has OEM CF, Aluminum and two different woods options ready for sale as complete sets.

Yeah, that's not my thing (wrap). I'm having oCarbon do it for me. So far so good there. I'm doing the RS7 weave instead, which I think I will be happy with.
I'm sure they're not worth much, I may just return them as cores and call it a day.

Have you read the reviews for oCarbon before going that way?

Yep, paid with Visa, so if it goes amuck, I'm covered. He's been great so far though

That's daring. I know a few people personally who have been ripped off or at least hassled by oCarbon. There's a reason he was banned from Audizine, I wouldn't trust him with anything.

Happen to have a link? I searched ebay.de and found nothing.

The layered oak would match my beige/brown interior.
You would be better off buying an aluminum trim set and using that as core for o carbon, then sell me the oak.

I agree with what everyone else said about, Matt at oCarbon. He always communicates very well, until he has your money...he does good work if you ever get the parts but it seems there were A LOT of complaints, hence the ban.
If you don't mind the hassle and time wasted, I guess you could have little to lose.

If I had the beige interior, I would buy them. There has to be others that value them too. I also agree that they shouldn't be in a silver interior.

I went into the oCarbon thing with eyes wide open. I feel like I'm covered at least.
Anybody that's interested in the oak ones, just send me a PM, I'd be happy to work something out.

I've seen the oak trim in the beige interior, and it looked great. I've also seen it in the black interior, and it clashed terribly. Because it's pretty rare to see an oak set on the market, I'm sure there's a buyer out there.

Matt has to be the worst vendor I've ever dealt with, about 2.5 years ago I ordered a full carbon kit for my a7 from OCarbon, still waiting for all the parts. I ended up buying OEM carbon pieces for the parts that were missing. Ive since sold the A7. He will tend to respond to your emails but when actually comes to getting the goods a whole different story. I would call your credit card company and see how long they will back the charge for. He strung me along for so long by the time i had enough my CC said it was to long ago, to reverse charge.

If you have the black/aluminum layered wood trim I'd be interested in buying it from you.
