Anyone know if they are still around? The phone #'s listed on their website are disconected.

Anyone ever use them for performance upgrades? I am looking to purchase coilovers.

No they are no longer in business.

There are a few other local shops around, try Streetwerke (www.streetwerke.com) in Palo Alto or DSR (www.dynospotracing.com) in San Jose.

Streetwerke in PA is great...the guys know their stuff, and Jason (the owner, and ex-original New Dimensions member) is a very cool guy. Talk with Darren (sales manager, also very cool), tell him Andrew, the guy who set them up w/ the modded x-box, recommended you.....he has cut me deals on everything i've bout through them

Your boy Darren at Streetwerks quoted me 6 hours of labor @115 ea hour + allignment charge. Ouch! Seems a bit much for coilover install. I read on this forum and audiworld that typical cost for coilover install is 200 - 300.

I've never been to Streetweke, but to be fair, a suspension install +alignment from a reputable *specialist* shop (i.e. not Midas, Goodyear, etc) should be more than 2 or 3 bills.
Try getting a quote from Roger Krauss Racing in CAstro Valley, they definitely know their stuff and you'll pay darn near what Streewerke quoted you.

Not blaming you for a bad reference... just was a bit suprised by the high install quote. I am sure they are fair for parts but for a experienced shop, shouldnt it not take 6 hours for this type of an install? I got a quote from Speed Merchant and they were saying its a 3 hour install.... for an Audi specialist why would they need an extra 3.5 hours?

Anyways... i eventually found a quote that sounds more reasonable; $250 + $99 for 4 wheel allignment (they said they use the new lazer allignment technology)

How hard is it to install coilovers? I have standard tools... would i need specialty tools? sping compressor?

Thanks again guys... its only a matter of time unil my Audi get her full facelift....

dunno about the time, again, really don't know what to say about the whole quote.

as for tools to DIY, no you don't need anything special, and no you shouldn't need a spring compressor unless your coilovers need assembly.....just be careful about the sensors on the driver's front/rear, and when putting the bolt back into the front swaybar, be sure the small control arm doesn't angle the bolt as your trying to reinstall...it's very easy to crossthread

all in all, if you found someone to do the whole thing plus alignment for $350, i say go for it if you trust them.

post pics of ur slammed ride when it's done...u'll love the ride[drive]

serious if you are looking into 300 + 99 alignment...that dun really know what they are doing. if you search some articles from me I did post something about a "good" shop in San Jose DID mess up my H&R coilver for that price.
alighment you should go to Roger Karus in Castro Valley, next to my home...that should be around 150 alignment.
I do believe Streetwerke will do a good job for you. Your suspension system would be hard to deal for people outside. Pay a little bit more for some good work. You'd probally appreciate that! I did search for good "deal" job and ended up I pay more than an expensive job for 1 time deal! that's why from now on, no more cheap job for me.

Having done my own, i highly recommend renting a spring compressor as it makes the job go a whole lot faster. Definately worth the $8 from kragen. I also recommend getting the list of replacement parts from your local dealership as it also speeds up the process.

I just had my PSS9 system installed on my B6 S4 by Streetwerke this week, and I was very impressed with their professionalism and their knowledge of the car. Their prices are higher than some of the shops out there, but you get what you pay for.

My kit was missing a part, and they stayed late and fabricated a replacement piece for it to get it done. Most shops, I'm sure, would have cut their losses and told me they need to order a part, thus delaying the whole process. And in the end I would pay more for more labor.

They stuck to their original estimate of 6 hours, and it actually took that long after all the issues, maybe even longer after all was said and done.

Darren, Jeff, and Sebastian over there are great. And they have a great lounge to hang out in.

Hey 1.8Titorey.... thanks for the reference... they quoted me $300 for install and $90 for allignment.

I still dont understand what makes Streetwerke so much better where they can charge double the time for install and $115 an hour. Its not like its an engine replacement, its a unbolt old shocks, remove springs... bolt on new coilovers... what real still deserves $400 more for labor? The allignment should be the main thing to be concerned about.

With the money I save i can buy another modded xbox instead of playing one at a shop for 5 hours.. or... an Xbox 360! Anyone know how long it will take until the Xbox 360 gets hacked and have chips produced?

there is no reason that a coilover install should cost you more than $400 with an alignment. if somebody is trying to charge you more they are trying to rip you off!

streetgeektuning charges $375 for a coilover install with alignment.

if you schedule with streetwerke, make sure they dont have a busy schedule cuz when i did my installs there, i wasn't too pleased with the results...it was a rush job which should have been preventable...they can do th work but just make sure they have time to really do it.
