stock internals on an 01 is good for what 400 hp right? bc i just got my ecu back from upsolute and it has program written for 20 psi but the turbo i have is gonna flow prob 400 hp at 20 psi. im just wondering if i have to run 20 psi with it

what setup is this you talk about?

here is what i have
t3/t04e-custom supposed to do 300 hp @ 11.5 psi @ 78% eff
peter blias ss manifold--i forget how to spell his last name
custom built ss 3" down pipe with atp high flow internal gate extention
42 lb ford injectors
taylor adj fpr
upsolute tuned ecu @ 20 psi
3" atp maf and intake
turbo heat shield
custom intake box
evoms fmic
borla exhaust

im supposed to get the turbo today or tommorow so ill host pics of it when i get it

well, many have claimed number similar to those you've posted. I hear the 2001 has five main bearings over the latter years which only have four. The AEBs have forged pistons but not necessarily rods. You'll be fine with that setup IMO.

is the peter blias manifold the guy on vortex. maybe i just have no clue. just have not heard the name before.

Well this is good info as I will most likely go T3/T4 in the future.

Oh and JeffM, what software/programming are you running?

stock internals are only as good as the tune on the car

billy T made 500whp on stock internals..fwd of course..

i hope you plan on running a mbc instead of using the n75 to control your boost..that way it wont matter what the ecu is requesting

of course i will my programming requires the use of the mbc i have a hallman pro series. ya ill be getting rid of the n75. i cant wait till fri its going to be a freakin blast

the dbw are weak. 400hp is grey area. Especially w/ a blanket file from upsolute. Billy made 550 fwhp i thought? thought billy had an aeb long

goldenchild

well im not tryin to make 400 by anymeans untill i get the ecu finer tuned from them. i thought the 01 had full forged aluminum internals and the only thing i thought the aeb was good for was its ports in the head.

no, billy made like 493 or 497, it was in the 490's..yes aeb engine

took the car to track and the next run the engine blew when the turbo hit 35psi i believe it was..

there was one other person i forget who it was that made over 500whp i believe..aeb of course

That is a lot of power for a small engine!!

goldenchild

how do u think thats alot of power for a small engine? theres alot of guys around me runin 6-800 hp on 1.8l engines i think u should say thats alot for an audi bc u really dont hear of it that much

k0mpresd

well, those motors werent in audis

billy t's car is a mk2 gti drag car..i forget what the other one was..but it was a vw, not an audi

AEB engine makes 150 HP stock. 500 WHP is roughly 625hp?
Thats over 4 times the stock power. Sure that is a lot for a audi.

Who is making 800 HP on a 1.8L engine?[confused]

acura integra engines. on forged internals of course so i guess i forgot that factor that those numbers where on stock internals even know they are cheap forged internals but better than other stock components. well i just also got off the phoen with my friend and he said ill prob be pushin 400 hp @ 20 psi with the turbo so im assuming around 350 to the ground.

if your car is a quattro car then you lose about 21% going from the crank to the wheels

thats about 330-331 @ the wheels

exactly. I got confused when you were claiming 800 horses out of 1.8L motors when the title of the thread is "stock internals"

ya close enough..lol..should be able to take down some evos and wrx which is my main goal and i really want to kill this one kid who thinks hes god with his stock 350z although he does beat alot of modded ass cars but im gonna put him and all those srt evo and stis in their places around my hood...hahaha o and i will have a video for ya all to see what happens

bob on the tex made 722hp on the stock bottom end.

A couple guys have made over 500whp on AEB stock internals, i think 3 that post on forums
