Been about 5 months of waiting for the right time - my '12 GTI Autobahn is now sold.... Lurked the hell out of this forum as if I have owned the car 3 years now. [:D]
Looking to order some parts already, pre approved for loan $$$. Let's hear what YOU would have done sooner with the knowledge you have now!
13+ S4
S-tronic
White ext.
I'm going for the black on white look.
Mind is made up on exhaust - AWE Touring 102mm tips diamond black, non-res down pipes.
Looking for any and all recommendations... Tran mounts? Suspension? Enlaes spoiler? RS grille recommendations, black rings to replace chrome. Any links to your recommendations wanted!
Thanks! [[wrench]

I'd suggest avoiding Enlaes, sounds like way more headaches than it's worth.

This. Also, are you sure you want non res DP's on an automatic?

This, Your going to get a lot of drone with the non res. If sound is what your looking for go with the res down pipes and track exhaust. That will give you what you want but be smooth. I have the AWE exhaust touring with res down pipes and I have 0 drone. Its loud enough for the wife lol. But if I want it louder I just have to remove the rear mufflers.
As for intakes unless you want something fancy go with Roc Euro. Best intake around and you get the S/C whine if that's what you want. And provides the best results power wise.
For the B8.5's don't buy the ECS RS grill a lot of people don't like them. I bought mine off ebay and love it. And it even came with front part sensor clips molded into it if I want to add them later.
As far as suspension bracing go with the eurocode AK CR-15 strut brace. And drivetrain mounts go with 034 motor sports. All are DIY and install pretty easy. I had them all installed within 1-2 hours.

Thanks so much for the actual product recommendations! I have done a lot of you tubing and I love me a loud exhaust... Awes video of the too next to each other with the setup I want is like best defining!
I don't mind drone personally, I love the euro tone this is going to make :)

STAY AWAY FROM ENLAES...mines been on for a few days now and the right side is already starting to come off. It looks awesome, but I feel it needing new double sided tape very soon.

Personally, I would the mods in the following order:
1) Coilovers
2) Wheels
3) Black optics grill
4) Exhaust
5) Intake/tune
This is the order I modded my car (I didn't do step 5 because I don't want a tune) and it turned out well:

If you go the Roc Euro route for intake, be prepared for a delayed shipment delivery. You'll read across these forums that John @ Roc Euro delivers a great product, but is notorious for shipping delays (understaffed team, etc.). I ordered an intake for my B8.5 on 5/7 & I'm still waiting for it to ship.
That being said, there are several alternative open air intake products out there that offer similar sound outputs. You're going to get minimal power gains from an intake alone, without a tune. ECS is a great alternative, but they are currently back-ordered until August. CTS is available across the web. The choice is yours & yours alone. Just don't whine if you end up waiting for that Roc Euro whine [;)].

LMK i can do a deal on the CTS intake or an even better deal on the CTS intake paired with our stage 1/stage 2 and TCU tune.

Not good advice at all. Its the oldest one with no revisions to make it any better or close to the ones out now. Then the shipping issues on top of it......

THIS.
Just get the one you like the most. ECS, CTS, USP and a few more all have great intakes.

Haha "whine". I actually know John personally, I have read a lot of negative on the forums so far... I live literally a few miles from their shop - and would be crazy not to give him my business, so this decision is easier for me to make! Thank you for looking out for my best interest!! MUCHO appreciated. [az]

Well I'm jumping in and going balls deep here... PM me some deets... I have a full page of part and mod mapping out already - location is key for me... I live in Roc, any tuners in the area?! Buffalo/Syracuse?

I already sent you a message. With our tune you are able to flash at home and flash back to stock, install updates or tune upgrades all for free.

agreed on intake, but I dont care for the way ROCEuro does business, so i'd skip them, even if local. But if you are going to be giving him your business anyhow, then why bother asking us, just use what he stocks.
In case you want options. After intake I'd do sway bars (front and rear from Eurocode, with MOOG endlinks), CR-15 strut tower brace from U2Nelson on the forum here, springs and dampers or coilovers if you do NOT have ADS, wheels, Tune with transmission tune. then do whatever else floats your boat.

I actually just PMd u2nelson :), thank you for the recommendations! I haven't looked into end links yet... seems many do them.

be careful with endlinks. every company will try and talk you in to the spherical links they sell. you are in NY, you wont make it a year before they start to rust or degrade and begin making noise. Either keep the stock links or get the MOOG ones from rock auto.

Is it the MOOG K750359 OR K750361 ps - the rockauto site isn't the most user friendly haha

I did track with resonated DP on a dsg and love it. My thinking was to remove the two rear mufflers back at the trunk for increased sound, and beef up the resonators in front by the driver. Everyone has their own idea of "drone" and I figured the "drone would be further from the driver with this set up vs touring with non Res DP. Sounds perfect to me and I just fold down the back seat when I want more volume.

The only video I can find online of this is the one when AWE did the blue car next to the black car.
