Noticed my car kind of skip during acceleration (not WOT) and then noticed an EPC light come on, thought it was nothing kept driving. Turning the ignition on/off cleared the EPC light, it came back on maybe 50 miles later with the addition of the ECL. Car went into a semi-limp mode with low boost and staying in the 2-3K RPM range.

Had it scanned and showed codes related to the throttle body, no related issues before.

Taking it in for service this week.

I no longer have my S4 but at one point I did have some hesitation and bad shifting which turned out to be a dirty throttle body. Cleaned it with electronics cleaner fluid and it was perfect after that. I think some of the oil from my K&N filter had eventually made its way into the TB. Good luck.

Do you recall the actual code?

Lots of gunk finds its way into the SC all on its own.

You will find it building up right behind the flap on the TB. I'd pull the TB, clean the inside with some alcohol, stick it back on then readapt it.

I imagine that will fix the issue.

So are you saying you know this to be a TB code? Because I've found codes specifically stating both throttle body and intake runner flaps and this is referencing neither, seems like a different "flapper" based on the labeling of other codes on the same platform in VAG-COM. Either way, removing both the TB and bypass valve and doing an adaption (to both, if I can) is my next step. Everything seems to run fine until I hit about 5-5.5k at WOT.

He didn't give us a code so I have no idea. I was just stating the TB is worth cleaning if you are getting errors for it. I was personally amazed at how dirty it got.

I don't know anything about your error code [:(]
