I finally got my cable, installed software and followed instructions from another thread. I'm able to open and close Windows pressing buttons in remote. My old Passat I was able to press lock and everything shut down wit out having to keep pressing the lock button. Can this be coded? What other features are there that I may program and play with?

Not that I know of. You have to hold the lock button on the fob.

I set up my locks to lock/unlock everything with one click (I think that was a VAGCOM recode--it's been so long now), turned off my amber corners when the headlights are on (Euro style on the cheap), and also recoded the seatbelt chime so it wouldn't be so annoying. It still chimes when you start the car and then it shuts up after that. Added paddle shifters and turned those on as well (but that obviously requires a steering wheel with shifters and a tiptronic or CVT transmission).
