Hi Folks,
I replaced the stock conti's few weeks back with a new set of PSS. I've started noticing the tires squealing when I push them in the corners, unlike the conti's. Tried few different PSI settings like 39F/33R and 39F/39R but the squealing is still evident in each setting. What gives? Is this expected for the PSS? For context, I was doing 25 to 30 mph in a 15mph recommended hairpin. The tires are 255/35R19's.
Thanks for your help!

I've had no squealing issues doing 70+ on highway on/off ramps with the PSS. 245/35/19. [drive]

strange, is there a significant improvement in the grip that is making me push the tires to squeals? I doubt it :(
Could you tell me what pressure that you're running @?

Just put the second set of PSS on the car this week and I always run at 39/33. No squealing issues that I've noticed. Alignment is good?

Just got PSS Monday and have not noticed any. No idea what pressures are set at, discount tire set them.

Alignment should've been done along with the tire replacement. Perhaps they screwed it up? Will go back and check it up.
Thanks for your feedback!

Mine squealed... at the track. Never on the street though.

Well how new is new? I mean if they are brand new they will do that for a few hundred miles, as it's brand new rubber..... But ya know like after say 250 miles or so I'd suspect them to be settled in and gripping like a mofo.
If not, like others said, check pressures/alignment.

I've never had a PSS squeal before. Even new they are sticky to the touch.

2 weeks old with around 500 miles on it. Trying out cold 39 psi all around and see how it goes. Else, I'll have to get the alignment checked. Thanks!

Have they been bought from a reputable source?

This may sound crazy, but were they mounted properly, i.e., with the sidewall marking of "Outside" on the outer side of the wheel? My PSS, new about a month or so ago, are perfectly quiet, running at 40psi F&R.

I had my installed last week and have had 0 problems. I have been running 41 psi (like the factory recommends). Why are a bunch of you running much lower? I'd assume traction but does it matter that much?

Not uncommon for a tire to squeal a bit at the limit, you have obviously found the limit. Temperature and pavement/road type can also play a significant roll in noise feedback from a tire.

You're running at the max load PSI. Owner's manual gives the 39/33 number.
