Ok, for all those B7 drivers out there with the lighting package... how many of you hate the fact that we have these stupid little city light bulbs lit whenever we have our xenon headlights on? There aren't many things that irk me more than seeing the reflection of my front end on the car in front of me and noticing this dull brownish glow next to the bright white.
So here is the question. How can we get rid of these bulbs without triggering the bulb out warning light?

Replace them with low powered Xenons? I can't find any other way unless there is a VAG code out there. But you'd probably know more than me.... so good luck.

I don't think they're so bad, helps show the fact that you have Xenons. Haha! I will soon be replacing the stock bulbs with some PIAAs. Going to try a set of LED bulbs too, but will most likely have to add the line load equilizers with those.

I'm not sure that anyone makes a xenon match bulb for that bulb size. Anyone know what bulb it is? It almost looks like a bulb you'd find in your refrigerator or turn signal. I just want it to go away.

City lights are a W5W (AKA 168, 194, or T10). It's a wedge base 5 watt bulb.
I am hoping these PIAAs will be a good match (http://www.ambulbs.com/products/description.php/II=68), putting them in soon. Also may try white LED bulbs.
