Bought my car tuned, have checked if it's a unitronics and revo tune and it's neither. Assuming APR, but if not what other providers are there? To check if it's an APR I have to pay about $100 for them to scan it, the others I could do for free since I know a shop that has them. Thanks guys

GIAC or some have custom tunes, but I am not sure what is exactly available for the B8 S4s. Did you call APR? Or just a local dealer? The VIN should be stored at APR, as each tune is registered to the VIN. I would be surprised if they charged you just to run a VIN, but could be wrong.

Need this asap, and they can't run the vin over the phone has to be don't at a rep. Tune was on from the dealer, don't know the previous owner.

APR ran my VIN for free when I sent the an email awhile ago.

I have a GIAC tune, and no experience with APR, but couldn't someone with the mobile dongle in your local area also help you determine this? No clue what would happen though if it didn't find anything.
When you say from the dealer, are you referring to the car dealership, or the local tuner who sells the tune for whatever company you have? Where did you buy the car? Did they disclose that it was tuned?

APR will no longer give out that information per an email not to long ago. GIAC will so try them.

So I convinced apr and giac to run my vin, giac did it no problem but apr was annoying about it. It's neither, who else can I try?

Really no one other than EPL, what makes you think you are tuned? There are other options but you named most of the big ones, its doubtful you have a tune.

Maybe TD1 but no longer tuned? Worst of both worlds, lol.
