Does anyone know If the wire that comes from the sensor on top of the hpfp (n276 I think) go directly into the ECU or does it go through the harness that the Relays are housed in? The guy working on the car seems to think the sensor blew and it shorted the ECU but if it goes through the relays first then there's no way that could happen right?

It goes into the harness was the answer I got. I had asked something similar a little over a year ago and when I was searching before I posted this I just didn't word it right. I just cant believe I'm blowing this many pumps and am on my 3rd ecu. It's got to be in the wiring somewhere but my guy seems convinced its the components. Literally every search Ive done has come up either the relays or the harness that houses the relays. You never hear of a blown ECU even when water gets in the box. He says he hears a transistor popping inside the ECU unit could that be caused by a wire in the harness grounding out or something?

for sure it could be a wire shortig , but tough to tell which one. a short somewhere will cause max current flow and pop .
