Trunk Lid right side lights gone out.

Okay so all of a sudden I get a warning on the dash that my right side lights are out. It does not appear to be the 2 bulbs and the LEDs worked earlier in the day. Has anyone else had simlar issues and can you give me an idea of what could need to be replaced. I have searched but not coming up with the answer seeing the issue.

Can you be more specific with the error message? I know it is a very specific message, example 'right rear reverse light is out', because mine went out last week and replaced the bulb. Also when does it come on?

For me it was when I put the car in reverse the above msg would pop up with a ding

So the error message I get on the dash is

Right Turn signal/brake light/ rear light with a bulb with an X on it.

If i put the turn signal on I get the quick aced dash sound so it is out. and I get this message about 1-2 minutes into the car being turned on. I changed out the bulb that I could source from auto zone so one bulb is not the culprit and other bulb i will need to wait until Audi parts is open and can get it there. But what I do not understand is why the entire unit goes out.

Ah ok, mine was easy to pin point because it was the rear reverse light. So when you get out of the car with the signal on, are they all on? all off?
