Does anyone else have a squeaking/creaking sound coming from beneath their driver seat? It happens on undulations in the road and mostly when the seat goes up and down. It sounds like there is a tweetie bird chirping in my car.

THanks for your help!

+1 would be very interested in fix. Was just about to post similar question.

If I remember correctly somebody previously posted that the source of the squeak was part of an underlying/inaccessible frame/bracket but I hope I'm wrong.

I expected far better seats from a luxury car brand, these are by far the worst seats ive ever sat in.

Have you sat in the A-line seats?

So I messed with it a bit more. The sound seems to only happen while the car is moving and from a specifically when the driver's body weight goes up and down. It goes away sometimes, but then comes back louder at other times. I can't put a finger on why.

mine is in the seat back. when I press myself back into the seat harder the suspension in the backing seems to squeak.

I'm guessing you haven't sat in a lot of automotive seats, or maybe you just like using gross exaggeration. Either way I am generally very happy with the seats in my S4.

+1 again. Exact same issue here; can replicate squeak by bouncing on seat like an idiot. Diagnosing this squeak is on my list of "mods" to do. I'll try to get someone to jump in seat while I take a look underneath this weekend.

Are you sure you guys arn't getting a squeak of the side bolster on the center console? This is a common complaint and the first small "issue" I noticed after purchase.

I get the squeak on the center console on the back seats. Super annoying. I just put the damn thing down and the noise is gone. Looks like the plastic squeezes with something...

I have a bunch of complaints about the seat, there is some play in it that I can feel when stopping or accelerating quickly. I can also feel some sort of popping in the seat botton. I've driven many cars from Mercedes and BMW, never experienced this. I never experienced this in the Pontiac GTO and the Pontiac G8's I owned as well. It's unnerving feeling as if the seat might fail, so much so as im looking to get rid of the car completely.

I find turning up the volume on the stereo fixes this problem

Ditto! I yearn for your S4 seats.

I had this issue too and sounded like was coming from beneath the seat.
The squick was coming from the lumbar support. l fixed it by just pressing the buttons up/down left/right for the lumbar support.

I got annoyed with the sound so much after trying to diagnose it and fix it. I finally took it to the dealer. I have a warranty still so I might as well let them toy with it and get back to me. I'll update once I get word back from the service advisor

Update: Turns out its the seatbelta retrieval mechanism on the B pillar. Needed some lube and doesn't make the sound anymore
