So I was driving around on Friday and everything was fine in the morning but that afternoon as I was pulling onto the highway I lost all my boost. Zip Zero Nada. It was just not there and I never really realized how much of a difference the turbo made until this moment. It was like driving a 1993 F150. I pull off off the highway shut off my car and pop the hood to see if I can see anything out of the ordinary. The weirdest part was that no codes were thrown. The boost did come back but it was lacking in significant power. The turbo wouldn't really spool up until 4000 RPM and even then it was still lacking in power. I feel its also worth mentioning that i have an APR Stage 1 tune and GFB DV+ mounted on the turbo. At the moment it feels like the performance is just under how a stock set up should preform.

Almost forgot the mention is that earlier that morning my car threw a EPC light but when I turned it off and turned it back on the light was gone and this was long before I lost all my boost.

Any suggestions or knowledge on the matter would be a huge help. I just hope I dont have to replace the whole turbo.

Thanks guys!!

Hhhmmm if it was a boost leak then you should have gotten a CEL. EPC light can be related to the accelerator pedal. Do t op u have vcds or another option for data logging?

Limp mode.

Exactly and i've read that if the Waste Gate Valve (N75) fails then it is possible for it to go into limp mode.

Did you wash it or did it rain heavily? Take a look at the ECU box cover. It may be missing a screw. If condensation gets in there, it'll throw an EPC and Engine light, then limp, then restore full power when it dries out.

I had washed it but a couple of weeks before hand and the day that this happened it was one of the hottest its been all year which was still only 85 degrees. I will take a look at the box cover though and see if that is the culprit.

Any knowledge on how to detect a faulty N75 valve?
