I recently pulled the wiper motor and guess while putting it back in I messed with the home setting as my wipers now go up a tiny bit and crash back down. I thought I could run them without any blades on it to reset but that does nothing for me. I see the bar under the motor which I assume I need to adjust based on some B6 DIYs I found. Is there an easier way than pulling the wiper motor again as that was a bitch? Just got home from vacation and trying to relax tonight, sigh.

Can't help u out sorry. I was planning on doing this to install the ss line but now i am thinking I better just drop it off somewhere.

I wouldn't remove it, it depends on your hand size. I had a hard time finding the damn plug hole under the stock line. I removed it thinking it would help, it was just another pain to remove it though putting it back in was worse. I still have a lot of the stock line in there as I couldn't reach down in there to pull it out enough. I cut what I could reach and capped it off on both ends. If I had to do it again I would just leave the motor in there, I was able to move the line out of the way enough eventually and squish the line down. Remove the heat shield by the slave first so the line pushes down easily.

One last try, have free time tonight most likely going to pull it and adjust the back part though not sure where it needs to be. I assume I will blue tape it to hold it while I cram it back into place.

Well, tip for future searches, just adjust the nut on the back of the motor so the arm is at 12 o'clock. It takes more time getting the damn motor back in than adjusting.

Thanks for this. I had my windshield replaced at an independent shop and my wiper blades are visible at there usually hidden setting when they aren't on.

Put everything back together and take the wiper arms completely off. Then shut the hood and bump the wiper stalk for a single sweep clear. This will cycle the motor and bring it back to the home position. Turn the ignition off and open the hood back up. Then you can put the wiper arms back on and voilą, home position achieved.

That is what I read but that did not work, seems the whole set up got shifted somehow and I had to manually adjust it. Unless I did not do the single sweep clear correctly, I tried a bunch of things. Either way she is back to normal now.
