Hey!
Here, across the pond, we get the TDI engines, and after reaching 440 lb·ft and over 50 MPG out of a 2.0 engine I figured out it wouldn't hurt to get quattro instead of FWD. Mostly, because over here, it pours about 85% of the days.
I've already sourced a RS4 subframe, custom made catback exhaust and an AWD fuel tank, but there's still a question that needs to be solved before bolting it up. The gearbox will probably be a 03A with a JHM 4:1 differential.

This is the donor car fuel tank, a B6 2.5 TDI V6. It uses a mechanical injection pump to drive the injectors, whereas my PD engine achieves pre-injector pressure by means of a tandem pump. I'm guessing the in-tank fuel pump assembly can be reused for this.
So far, I know the driver side fuel level sender can be wired to pin #11 on the blue instrument cluster connector and VCDS'ed to read a somewhat accurate level.
What I have now in the FWD tank is pretty much this assembly:

I'm not quite sure on how it works on the inside, but where I have a 4 pin connector that powers the pump and reads the level, the donor car has a 4 pin connector and a 2 pin one, for what seems to be another fuel sender.
I'd like to know if any of you has overcome this and how can it be wired to my existing installation.
Another option I'm considering is blanking the return port on the driver side and reuse my FWD pump on the passenger side, somehow getting it to suck fuel from the left side baffle.
