I'm hearing this strange rubbing noise either coming from my passenger front or rear tire, I'm really leaning toward the passenger wheel, It's a 2012 audi s4 with 50,000 miles, I just got it so I took it back to audi to see if they could find the problem. To me it sounds like a bearing/hub or CV issue, three different mechanics went with me for a ride and they said its tire noise? Which is stupid. So they put the car on the lift and inspected everything on the bottom and said its all tight, they even let me go under the car and sure enough everything looked tight, anybody have a noise like this? Here's a video, you might have to listen closely to here it around 40mph, I'll try to get another video up soon, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!! https://vimeo.com/165541634

I would actually check the tires for remaining tread. I thought my wheel bearings were done after picking up my 14', but realized the tires were EOL .
Edit: spelling

Here's another video of the noise, it's super noticeable at 40MPH.
The tires on the car are in really good condition, almost new. Any help would be appreciated!

swap out the front from the back and see if the noise moves. I had a tire with about 15k on it tread still looked new. there started to be an apperant noise coinsdently on the front passenger side. checked everything but could not find any problems. later found out it was a bad tire because the tread peeled off like an orange peel, caught it just in time before it could cause any damage.
just for reference I was running fallen fk452's ( not the best but not the worst) but I won't use them again.

So finally got the car to the dealer and put it in service, I took some mechanics for a ride and there saying its most def a wheel bearing issue. I'll post updates when I get the car back, for now I'm in a 2015 Q7!![emoji41][emoji41][emoji41][emoji41]

Took cavander audi in San Antonio just about a month to fix my car! It was a passanger wheel bearing and it was also making some brake vibration at high speeds, ended up getting 2 new rear Rotors and brake pads in the back. All is well with the car now, it rides perfect. I hope I never have to take my car back for service there, it's horrible!
