Hi there, first and foremost thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I recently installed recaro sportster seats in an A4 2008. I did the occupancy sensor (bladder) transfer from the oem seat onto the recaro and resistor for the drivers. Side occupancy sensor is now active but the airbag light is still on and it's coming from the side impact air bags on the oem seats. Shop had the electrician try all sorts of resistors for it but no success...

Question # 1: Can the side air bags be coded out?

Question #2: As it stands will the airbags on the dash still deploy in case of a collision?

Update...

Its been done all working and no airbag light. As stated above Recaro sportster installed with passenger occupancy sensor transplant and no airbag light. I will update this with pics later, promise. How it was done I don't know yet but I will be picking up the car later. RSW performed the install, Drive Auto Works arranged for the passenger occupancy sensor install (thanks Dion), and RSW finished the install with the correct resistors. I'll update this with more info once I pick up the car.

Take care.

Thats about right. I ended paying more than that with the bladder transfer being done somewhere else as at that time they didn't want to take the recaro apart, and their upholsterer was out of state. Drive Auto Works arranged for the bladder transfer and then RSW finished with all the resistors. I was in essence the ginny pig as the B7 platform goes. I just wanted to share with people that it can be done, since up until now all I heard was that the light was always on. It was an adventure but I'm glad its over, now the seats...worth every penny [:D]

Yeah I should have. I started this one with just a question regarding install, in the back of my head I wanted to post a thread with the details. Live and learn Hugh, next time buddy.
