Would it be ok if I have an APR 100 tune, to use octane booster to boost my 91 to 100 octane using VP Racing Octanium?
Thanks

run a e85/pump blend.

You should run an entire tank of octane booster
you'll have to run ALOT of octane booster to achieve 100 octane. The ones that do work well contain MMT, and will stain the cylinder walls, 02 sensors, and exhaust FWIW, I would not do it [:D]

On their website, it says it will raise 10 gallons 8 octane ratings (80pts). So i can get 10 gallons of 91 to 99 octane and run the 100 tune correct?

I wouldn't trust that shit. Again run E/Pump mix if you can.

I am not an expert but I strongly advise against trying to mix your own fuel blends. Octane rating is a complicated metric of a fuel's ability to be compressed without combustion and involves ratios of iso-octane to heptane as well as all other fuel additives that will vary from gas station to gas station.
This isn't the greatest analogy because I doubt anybody(myself included) in here bakes, but you can't just add more sugar to a recipe if you want your cookies sweeter. It throws all the ingredient proportions out of whack and the baking reaction will go to shit.
Besides, a good rule of thumb is to never use OTC fuel additives or detergents in German cars.

I'm a fan of the E85/pump mix and 100 octane GIAC tune. Trying to take care of my speed bug while my b5 is down.

Those octane boosters are BS, they add a tiny bit and its just marketing bs.

Just realized you are talking about VP Racing Octanium, the product itself says that it's not meant for applications that use 02 sensors or catalytic converters: http://mad.vp-sef.com/index.php/octanium
Which tells me that the 80 points ( 8 actual octane numbers ) are obtained using additives unsafe for modern cars (lead perhaps)?

I have. Logged it and ran it at the track with mixed to poor results all the way around. I have a post on there or AR about it somewhere....
Just to reiterate what others are saying, E85 works waaaaay better than anything else I have tried, but you need to know what you are doing and log with it if you run a substantial mix.
