This is the second time this has happened in 2 years. With 0 volume nothing, but the second I turn the volume up I get feedback noise.
Happened after I'd been driving a while, stopped at the grocery store, got back in the car and blasted with this speaker noise...
Letting the car sit for a couple hours fixed it this time. Last time resetting the MMI resolved it.
Anyone had this? It's like feedback you get with an amp...

Don't have your speakers too loud on your computers... loud noise...

Is it coming out of all speakers? Have you modded your system at all? Your description of when it happens and when it doesn't makes it almost sound like a thermal issue.

It seemed to only be coming from the rear sub. I can hear music coming from other speakers very softly at the same time...
My system is 100% stock. It's only happened 1 time before about 2 years ago... very strange.

Mine has done it. I posted on it last year I think. It's happened maybe twice and then is gone the next time I go back in the car. I think mine is mmi related as sometimes it locks up and none of the buttons work I cant turn it off etc.

Mine did it the day I bought it lol. Horrible loud static out of rear left speaker. No control ability, reset didn't help could only turn volume to 0. Next morning woke up and all was fine and hasnt done it since. Read a thread about it on the a5/s5 owners forums and they said it happened and then doesnt return for a long time dealers can never seem to duplicate or troubleshoot.
