I'm planning on ordering my timing belt kit from Europa within the next 12 hours, have a 3 day coming up and want to use those days to get it done.
I have locktight, medium/blue from Autozone, but I'm wondering if the one gallon of coolant is enough, again, ordering it from Europa.

May depend on how you go about it. I ditched being cute and draining the system through the valve. Just let the coolant come out of the involved ports and lines. Undid the turbo cooling line and the water pump; needed about 1.5 gallons to refill the system - about one and a half bottles of Pentosin ++. No tstat done at the same time. You're also in TX so your coolant/distilled water ratio is going to be different.

OP, I'm looking into buying a TB kit as well. Have you compared the ECS kit? It's on sale.

I have not... But will now.
Upon looking at it, I went with ECS. Notable difference was the included hardware, the metal impeller, the seals and the 2 1.5L of coolant. With my 2 day shipping, not 3 like with Europa, it was about $1.50 less.
We call that winning folks. I inherantly have more confidence in Europa though. There's just something about how they worded they put their kits together, almost with love and affection. THAT said, I do like how the different manufacturers of the parts were listed on ECS.

1 gallon is enough. I did my thermostat which emptied the coolant (all over the engine bay) and the 1 gallon was enough to fill it to the correct level.

Which kit did you end up ordering? They have a few options with pulleys and such. I need to order that and some front brakes. Thanks
