View Full Version : Flattened rear toe adjustments...

After taking having my new wheels thrown on and putting the car up on the alignment rack the tech noticed that the passenger rear toe couldn't be adjusted.

The tabs that bound the movement of the eccentric bolt were flattened, so essentially there was no toe movement when the bolt turned. We had to muscle the rear tire into spec.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it without replacing the rear subframe?

Maybe weld on some metal?

We may have to do that. I just read somewhere that you can reverse the direction of the bolt, and there are tabs on the other side as well. Ill take a look tomorrow.

Too lazy to look, but there is a thread around somewhere in the Audi-sphere where someone welded some new steel.
