I'm looking for anyone to help steer me in the right direction. I am looking for the red flag part of the front and rear S4 badges to be done in carbon fiber matching the OEM supercharged ones from Audi exactly. Im not looking for a sticker, I have tried that and did not like the way it looked. The way I see it is that someone created the supercharged ones for Audi so it can be done I just don't know by who. Perhaps if enough people showed enough interest in the same thing somebody may find it profitable to start producing these.

It may be possible to wrap the badge in carbon then resin it

That will be really really difficult. Usually if you apply a real layer of carbon fiber on a decorative part, you use an existing part as the tool/mold against the carbon fiber. That typically means you need to wrap an entire piece with CF. and then as pyromatic alluded to, you resin it. What you are asking is if you can just apply a layer to the recessed part of the S4 badge without adhesive, and without raising the CF portion above the raised edges of the red flag.

option 1. don't use adhesive between CF and the red flag (not sure how it well it would hold)
option 2. use adhesive, but risk having the CF be higher than the metal edges.

Maybe someone on here has a better idea. I'm curious.

The way I look at it is if they can do it for the supercharger badges they certainly can do it for the front and rear badge

Someone most certainly can, and they will for the price. There isn't a big market for those, so it will cost a lot. I've done the stickers over the red, but like you, I didn't like it. However, I've got shaky hands and couldn't get it to line up correctly.

Maybe oCarbon can help.

Yeah, would love it too.

TAG tried to do it for me, but with a matte black instead of red. Didn't turn out well.

That's pretty clever, actually. It would be a good from far / far from good solution, but clever nonetheless.

Now, it would be possible to cut the emblem out of solid carbon and mill it to shape and add the red flag. But it wouldn't be very cheap...

I've been looking for the same thing.

No, I'm looking for the red flag part to have the cf. I honestly don't get it and nobody else seems to. Audi SELLS the supercharged badges with carbon fiber so who in the hell made those. This is so frustrating because it is the last mode I need to make to my car.[headbang]

Looks like somebody once made one using CF Vinyl tape

I've posted about this in the past. The red on the rear badge drives me nuts, I hate it. I bought CF vinyl to lay over the red portion like in the picture above and it just doesn't look good enough IMO. Sub'd

It shouldn't be hard to do at all.
Basically lay and vacuum resin a flat piece of carbon. I'd say 2 sheets thick at most since it's not a structural piece
Then laser/water cut to shape, and clean up.
